I've nobody to hide my browsing history from. Nobody is ever ever ever on this PC except me. It's mine, just mine. Nobody else ever sees it. It's alone, like me.

I don't surf for !!!!!! though, but I have some online friends who own some dodgy sites and one who owns an infamous (often mentioned in TV/radio/magazine interviews) dirty site. I've another friend who simply owns a shedload of really valuable domain names like sexy dot com (that's one of loads he has) and he's always going to court as somebody or other wants to take one off him, including once the Govt of South Africa when they got upset about his ownership of Joburg.

I cannot imagine very much any one would mind if i were looking for !!!!!!.

Something i find really a little sad is when the 'my man has been loing at !!!!!!' issue surfaces on the marriages and relationships board sopme posters refuse to believe its possible for a man to not be using !!!!!! ever unless there is somethiong 'wrong wiv 'im'.

I am extremely chuffed with the supper i have made. I hope dh likes it, i have had to resist going back to sip the sauce this afternoon and even had to give my self a stern talking to when i thought i could have some of supper for lunch. :o.

You could have.... use a bit of it as a jacket spud topping .... then grate a carrot into the saucepan to bulk it out again :)

This weekend will be tomato sowing time at Casa Wheezy, doesn't matter what the weather will do.

    Probably 10 plants this year.
Last year we had 14 (I think...) which was a bit too much.

Later also some gherkins and peppers and that's it.

I would be too full for supper though, the. Either annoy dh playing with supper or eat it and feel gruesome. I know this from experience:o

Jamie Oliver is very annoying. His 30 minute meals just came on the telly.

He just shoves stuff in a food processor, whizzes it up, bungs in litres of oil - then bungs it in the oven. So much oil! No wonder he's chumpy.

I've heard people say they can't cook his 30 minute meals in less than an hour - even pro chefs have tried. As I look at it I am looking at 20 minutes' prep time before you start to get the oven up to heat and the right pans out and the ingredients lined up. Then there's 30 minutes. Then you'd eat it in 10 minutes. Then there's all that washing up.

He also uses "just a bit" of loads of ingredients I'd have to have bought specially, so that means it'd never happen.

He's doing a Thai Curry today.

I also read that the cost of his meals is very very high too.

    He's already wasted:
    - the insides of a lime
    - the central core of a cucumber
    - half a chilli

And that was just making a side salad.

Making rice, he's going to add in Jasmine Tea - and is using one jasmine flower out of a box ... so that's the rest of the box that'd need using up.

Curry - two sticks of lemongrass, I've never seen lemongrass for sale but they look like spring onions, so I bet it's impossible to buy just two pieces. Teaspoon of tomato puree from a small can he opened.... so that's 90% of a can wasted. 4 peppers out of a jar - so that's the rest of the jar left over. Bunch of coriander - no idea how you buy that, but I suspect it's sold bunched up. 2 cloves of garlic - so loads of garlic left over. Bit of ginger, so some left over. Lime leaves - which I doubt I could buy down here anyway. But, again, I doubt you can buy 2-3.

It all adds up to a heck of a lot of unusual, new, untried, never bought before, specially sought out, pricey ... ingredients.... all of which would now need to be used up somehow.

He's more of a "40 unusual ingredients" cook than a "4 ingredients" bloke.

I went out on a limb today and bought 3 carrots. I kind of believed that I'd grate them up and serve them in a bowl with a hard boiled egg, some cheese shavings, some cold cubed potato in salad cream (quick potato salad in my house) ... and that's what you call a salad/meal. Thing is, I think 3 is excessive. Should have just bought one really.

The cost of his meals IS high. In the thirty minute shows he buys prepped stuff to cut down on time, and is open about it being time v money.

Re ingrediants, yes, You would first have to buy specially, but those things that are most expensive etc have a long shelf life, and the idea is that they get used for other meals, so become reliable.

My gripe is the abandon with which he uses vanilla. I think vanilla is something taste can deaden too if over used....like salt. The amount he uses is very, very expensive.

But i can adapt much of what i have seen on those shows to my shopping list and certainly can do most of them in the time if organised. I have a very strict time and motion interest though. To make breakfast of fried egg on toast can take dh half an hour, rofl.
