Pastures SW7 is broadly Knightsbridge and South Kensington. Your best bet may be somewhere on the Piccadilly Line in terms of somewhere to stay, though without knowing where the venue is its hard to say how far it is from the tube. Earls Court, Hammersmith and much further out, Heathrow, are all on the same line.

Staying at chez michaels is also a good way to do it and a great offer.

...also, less time ithe car. ...
I can have a fag in the car though - and don't have to sit next to annoying people....

I think, on balance, I'll not go this time. Having registered, if I cancel it means I get to be on their list for the next one... so I'll do that this time. Go when I am closer and things are more settled.

    Why are things so complicated.

I've managed to find someone selling a spare tyre for my car (rather than rely on the foam stuff it comes with). But I need to arrange for it to be collected. Without packaged measurements, the quotes are coming in at £40, that is from a bidding courier site anyvan.com
There's a service I used, but I think a wheel might be a bit big.... but it's only £7. I remember the box could be up to 1.2m in one direction, can't remember the other dimensions and it could weigh up to 25Kg..... I've forgotten the company too.... I'll go snuffle in my emails.

Sound very high for nothing on - I would have said we are mega users and do about 675 units/month according to our monitor from eon, so an average of about 0.9kw so our 'base load must be lower than this, I think about 0.5?

Edit - mega users for those who have gas heating - obviously electric water/space heating and usage would be much higher.

I have a electricity monitor, courtesy of British Gas.

Suddenly DS is switching off lights and shouting "does that make a difference"?

Background electricity with some lights and all these gadgets and appliances always plugged in, gives us a reading of 1.2-1.4kw.
    I think....

    I've been Money Tipped!
    I love my electricity monitor.

I do it in money rather than the other numbers, i find that more comprehensible.

I've no idea how much my electricity costs.... I buy a piece of card from my LL, I climb up and stick that in a slot on the front of the meter.... and on average I am spending about 80p/day since I moved in.

P.S. I should eat more cheese omelettes... that was divine. 2 eggs/cheese job's a good 'un. And yes, I have already made it, eaten it, washed up and cleared away - and made a coffee, watched a bit of news and read this thread :)

Without wanting to dig the subject out again as clearly doesn't require revival just wanted to appreciate LydiaJ's long post from a while back and say I thought it was an interesting read!
