I can fade into obscurity now, we're off to Sicily for 6 days on Thursday. sooooo excited, never been :D

I'd love to go there- never been to Italy at all, and the perfect place to improve pizza-pasta-pizza-calzone thing. Will have to just put up with courchevel and the Russian oligarchs instead.

Ah, got it. It's a whole teacher fantasy thing going on isn't it :)

It's not my fault, her signature made me do it.

PS if I'd taken the time to write a long and well reasoned post I'd want to know that it had been read and digested otherwise what's the point of the effort.

I have no sympathy at rooms for 2 at £300, since most of the time rooms for one are probably £150 and so for 2/£300 it's the same. Couples are just used to getting life on the cheap :)

"Next time" in my instance might be 2014
You know what I meant! Rooms starting at £200-300 instead of 20-30.
Just booked my second ski trip of the year. Very happy! Sound the posh alert siren!

My monocle fell in my sherry glass when I read that. You mean they've turned leaning into a pastime?

My lot are an unco-ordinated lot, me probably the worst. I can't see any of us being able to stand up on skis long enough to have our photo taken!

I can't see the attraction of going somewhere so cold for a holiday, much prefer the sun.

Ahhhh.... this is where I pull out the "Disability" card and wave it like a "Do Not Go to Jail" card.

    :)

I take everything literally, so I could only go on what you posted, what you meant, or what you might have meant, or what others might have meant would have had to have been stated absolutely for me to have included them in my consideration of a reply.

    :)

Not sure if you know, but I have Speshul Powerz: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspergers

That covers a lot of it.

Skiing is actually not that hard. I am really uncoordinated and it works. However, I don't see it being any use as a family holiday. Sliding down the slopes is a means to get to the bar and then get rancidly drunk by about 7pm. Obviously this appeals to a limited audience of philistines.

I love the idea f a skiing holiday.....just not the skiing. I would consider other winter sports......making snowmen, snow angels and even yellow snow creation. but ideally nice day long spa treatments and evening drinkipoos, with friends who are too tired to suggest anything too dynamic to do sound good.

I like winter....when i have heating more so.

I think I need new glasses - or to wear the ones I've already got more often.

Have been having trouble for a while reading threads exactly as they are written, but this morning read the title of one as "Britain to offer 100 year old gits".
