Just spoken to my sister, who's expecting her baby on wednesday. Not that I'm susperstitious (that's rubbish, we all are in some way) but I'm leeping my fingers crossed it'll all go smoothly.

Her kids will be as far apart in age as she and I are.

It's a good thing there's new life on its way, as elderly relatives (and others) have been getting illnesses or passing away at a horrific rate recently.
My parents are going to be grandparents (again, but YKWIM)!

Also in the rare world of good news, an old family friend has been advised no more chemo as the surgery's done its job and he's in the clear. The transformation in the guy's incredible!:D

    That is such nice news!
Do you inow whether you aregoing to havea niece or a nephew?

    I am pleased for you.

It was a funny old weekend here. We had decided that we needed a pregnancy test this weekend....these things are caused by so many people saying 'never say never' in reposnce to infertility, so every now and then we are convinced lateness and other syptoms muct be a possible. Obviously it was negative....so we looked up terrier litters in the breed we want instead and had a nice sunny afternoon off today. One of the things i read recently was a symptom was blue mucous membranes in the relative area....dh and i were in stitches on friday night trying to decided on my colouring.:D. Does it really go blue?

In any case, at some point hopefully this week my bras will fit properly again and i will, with out recourse to huge cornbeef and crisp sarnies, cheer up.:D.

That reminded me of the Letter From a Mother to Her Son, which included telling him his sister's going to give birth but as she doesn't know if it's a boy or a girl, she can't tell the son whether he'll be an uncle or an aunt....

    Found it:
Your sister, Mary, had a baby this morning. I haven't found out yet whether it was a boy or a girl, so I don't know if you are an Uncle or an Aunt.

I've just seen this on Facebook and thought I'd post for those not on it. I hope the results are all good and she's out soon.

    Daisy Palmer Trust

Daisy will be checking into Royal London Hospital later today, ready for tomorrow's operation. Biopsies on Kidney & Liver plus some other things that need to be done whilst she is in theatre. Waiting for the hospital to let us know what time to take her in. Just hope she doesn't have to spend too long recovering in there this time....

Re cars, mine has no warning bleeps and def no cameras to aid in parking but it does have power steering (well, sort of, it's better than really old cars but not as effective as a new car).

Re Saturday night - I was away! Opening season party at the caravan site where my parents have a van, free food and one drink last night, free brunch today.

Re marriage - I don't think I could marry again as trying to find a vicar who would marry a divorced person would be a nightmare and I could never marry in a registry office as, to me, it is not in the eyes of god. That is very important to me, as is the vows I took. Re anyone else getting married, I can't see why not. Although I have my faith, I am also quite liberally minded thanks to my parents (although dad had completely opposite views to what he taught me!)

LIR - No idea, we didn't check the colour of mine......
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Why not clear the space and built a water feature/grotto there? With lighting. It'd be awesome!

water feature/grotto is in somewhere else in the garden. i'll get some photos later.

very satisfying weekend. cleared the border and went to the tip twice. Got a bit bored so started a raging inferno. Box BURNS :rotfl:

I can't quite figure out whty Sunday afternoon which is in theory the moment when I might get some chores done is spent with me doing the DKs homework - actually much worse than doing it myself which would take a few minutes but instead several hours of 'I don't know anything about it', 'I can't do it', 'How do you spell...', 'I can't write straight any more, it is all wrong, I am no use, I'm going to hit you and never talk to you again'.

I never knew magnetism could be such hard work. :(
    I think....

I think I saw it on one of those Nanny programmes that you're supposed to tell the kid that homework has to be done by "X time" ... and leave them to it.

I never did homework, my parents never noticed/bothered.
