May be your constant demands for mugs of custard is the problem - too high maintenance, you see?

My fully signwritten (although logos from when we were a different company) mug was dropped by my PA yesterday, which meant that I had to go to Sainsburys this morning and buy a 50p one :(

I’ve ordered 250 new ones today, so please feel free to have one of those :)

Which sounds like we girlies sit around [STRIKE]painting our nails[/STRIKE] having our nails painted rather than working, whereas some of us do both.

Cr4p PA. A decent PA'd have already done that and had the new one on your desk by 8am this morning.
    :)

I used to be a PA, 30 years ago when it meant something ... and, this is a true story, one of the main reasons I gave it up was because bosses expected you to make coffee for them and every visitor ... and I hated doing it as I was rubbish. I now know why I was rubbish - I can't really coordinate to carry trays and not that good at remembering the orders.... so it'd be fraught with danger... and I hated it.

What a waste of skills... making coffee.

My new truss went in today, instead of the now missing wall. This sounds pretty posh pn, brace yourself, i had not realised how chunky the existing beam was, till seeing the mirror image on the ground. I kept going between the top thinking the new one was much chunkier. Now i rea
Ise they are just so high up in the air theyu look smaller.

The solution of how i will dust remains elusive. And the lighting issue is becoming more pressing as we approach time to get details lioke electricity runs into place for pricing the project. We thionk we have decided against ceiling spots. Tricky decision as they can be so stylish. Instead we are looking at uplighters from the top of kitchen units to give soft ambiant lighting, hidden spots directly in units and unit house working areas and pendant lighing over the working area and eating end.

Our milk bottles which i wanted to convert into pendant lighting might not work, though i am still going to try, if not i want converted demijohns.....but people charge a lot for cutting a hole in the bottom of a demi john! I want three opver the island, but recognise that might look a bit passe already. Not sur about table end of the room, maybe three in an odd height cluster, or three in a line, but hanging perpendicular to the others, because table will run acroos room and island down it.

Its especially difficult as we are planning a kitchen it looks like we will not be able to afford for years and years!

We are still debating the corner fridge issue too. I really want it, but if anything happens to the fridge and the one company who make it go out of business then we are scuppered if we have put a pricey kitchen in around it.

Only of its the right person PN, and i fear at least as many people end up with not the right person, far more restrictive than being on ones own. The nice thing if you settled would be you could push your comfort zone and make some mates to have meals with if you wanted.

For dusting, just lob a cat up onto the beam.... they'll work out how to get down eventually, but while they're exploring they'll pick up the dust and/or knock it off the ledges.
