I had plans, but I had to let my income and plans crash and burn this year as I've had a terminal parent to deal with, then one that had been hiding the loss of their marbles, and 1000 emergencies and crises to deal with around this and now the property sale. Next I'll be moving on as I am in temporary accommodation, so need to reorganise things and ship out in 2 months' time.... to god knows where. I have the names of two towns floating around - never been to either of them.
So, my income's been diminishing (it's residual, but would have needed poking a bit) .... and 2x your dinner cost will be my total income this month (I don't do benefits, don't believe in it).
I had no idea, and I’m so sorry! I wouldn’t have posted if I’d known. Unfortunately, this is my living, and second to my girls, the thing that gets me out of bed in the morning. I’m reading a letter now from my ‘boss’ to state we have a 3 year contract on a major kids music festival that I’ve worked on since 2003 (1st as Director of PR and Comms, then as Director of the contest (2004-2010), and now on the big board of the organisation as Director of Entertainment, Fiction and The Arts from 1st Jan last year.
Also, get yourself on a HA list ASAP. I stood as Cllr to offer advice, so again, if you need anything, PM me and I may be able to help.
I hope that things pick up for you soon, and if you need anything getting back into it, send me a message.lostinrates wrote: »I used to know a music producer who did that ..

But no; however, i have spent much more than that on a dinner for just 2 (although tbf, there were at least as many wine drinkers at the table, i suspect).
Biggest posh alert of the year💙💛 💔0 -

While some were eating £260 dinners.... I had a 28p packet of instant custard for tea.
I did eat better earlier as I had 2 scrambled eggs and beans on toast.... bread was best before today, but hoping it'll still be edible and not green tomorrow so I can have that for lunch tomorrow too.
Got nothing else in except a portion of frozen chips and 2 packets of cheap noodles.
And I had a silly/little foot accident earlier ... did something daft and seem to have lost the use of half of one foot, so needing to rest it up hoping I can walk tomorrow etc.... so couldn't go out to get more food.
It's resting at the moment. Spent the first hour presing it against the cold tiled floor to try to stop the throbbing etc. Now I just need to remember when I stand up to not put any weight on that side.0 -

Well there's no point, as my bonus is paid next month so all previous records will go out of the window.0 -

fill a plastic bottle with water, freeze it, and then stick it on the floor and roll your foot backwards and forwards on it. works a treat.0 -

I've been too long "out of the game" now to do what I used to do. Everybody's got degrees these days and are young and I've "not done anything" for over 5 years as I was building a nice little residual income and then stuff went t1ts up. I'm the wrong age of a big number to be taken seriously by people advertising jobs, so my next major plan might have to involve some silly job that'll have me, to bring in a few bob, while I shove my CV out in the civilised world and rebuild my residual empire.
I get by, but am anchorless (and rudderless) at the moment. Without a sense of place and nowhere specific to be, it's hard making choices.0 -

I got a backdated payrise, after tax, it was £62.50 from Aug 2011. I'm not sure whether to laugh or be insulted. (It was for £150pa)0
