Went to see 'Long Day's Journey Into Night' by Eugene O'Neill in Richmond Theatre on Saturday evening.(part of my b-day pressie :)) The play was ok, David Suchet was really good.

Wrong night to go into Richmond though, it was full of drunk Welsh rugby fans :o

Well the theatre is right next to the orange tree, which is always full of rugby drunks, especially since its on the way from twickenham to the London welsh clubhouse just round the corner!

I always get out of Richmond when there's a big game at twickenham, it's busy enough on a normal night.

I only use glasses to read small print - and only needed to do this for 1-2 years. I use £1 glasses from Poundland :)

Yep, they're fragile (in my hands) but I lose mine before I break them, so poundland's best for me. :D

An optician in the radio explained that many people reckon that off-the-shelf reading glasses wreck your eyes because people soon find they need stronger ones after they start wearing the weaker ones. He claimed that's rubbish as it's due to people's vanity about wearing glasses, so they postpone their eyetest for as long as possible.

If they buy them without their eyetest, they'll buy the weakest rather than admit their eyes are really dodgy; these won't be adequate and then have to trade them up for a stronger pair when they find they don't work.:p

BTW, Richmond feels as though it has more pubs per square mile that any other suburb of London.

Actually finished about 15.50. Not too bad. Was difficult to know what to think, either it was a quick check to make sure I wasn't a dribbling moron, before they put me in front of someone more senior, or they decided I was a dribbling moron and decided not to bother with a long interview. I think I came across ok, but I did talk a bit of vague gibberish a couple of times.

Not sure my classic blue suit, blue shirt, blue tie combo impressed anyone.

Never weat a red tie for an interview, I did it once and it was like a bull fight in the end.

I'm pretty sure the interview process at the place I currently work is designed to give the job to the worst candidate.

As far as I understand there are no other applicants for this job though. So it's a choice between me and a vacancy. I'd chose the vacancy personally!
