Or you could just hang out here and leave the rest of the site alone.

    :)

It's what I do 99% of the time.

Then we get the likes of Ravil over!

sss55ss, that's a good tip re: the Canon printer. I must check up some more info on that.

CK, I know you're worried about trolls but this is our sanctuary, we'd probably cold-shoulder any trolls that turned up. I welcomed a recent newcomer with this post a week or so ago. Maybe it sums up the thread's ethos.

You're very welcome here but some other posters (that you and I might both know) would fit in as badly as a clown at a funeral.

There's nice people here, but the rest of the forum's awash with all sorts of time wasters (I'm naming no names).:eek:

Mind you, car is due for replacement any day now, before anything 'happens!'

The last clutch job I needed was on a Metro 30 years ago (sorry to whisper but the current car might be listening). Since then I've gone through the following all still on their original clutch. 145k Rover 216 sold to son's friend. 185K Toyota Avensis sold to local shopkeeper, Ford Mondeo estate 165k and heading for MOT failure? Must be the way [STRIKE]I[/STRIKE] we drive them?

    Vacuum Cleaners

The choice is unbelievable, I thought it was over the top when I was sent to Sainsbury to get a bag of washed salad leaves and had to choose from a display of 21 different sorts.
Well "Henry" has dozens of brothers and sisters all made in Somerset, though the commercial and industrial relatives don't have smiley faces.
Even Screwfix offer a score of vacuum cleaners - more if you include the carpet shampooing ones. Priced from £39 for a "Titan" to £360 for one of "Henry's" big cousins - it has a "BB8" whatever that might be !

well, interview is at 3pm, and i probably won't find out until tomorrow whether i got through, and then it transpires that i'll need to go for a second interview to meet the head honcho as well. i suppose it makes sense that they will actually do a reasonable amount of due diligence on me before letting me loose in a high risk area.

feeling pretty confident now, i think i've worked out the right things to focus on in the interview, identified some material weaknesses in their model and come up with some solutions/improvements. i've got tomorrow off work just to draw up a few standard answers to the obvious questions, and work out some questions to ask them. (no1 question "what is my external consultancy budget?!)

Not that you need any help but I always find speaking in a mirror to articulate helps me decide if the answer in my head is suitable or not. Makes me look a bit nuts though :rotfl:

Interview prep is not the problem, it's the 5 minutes before you walk in when you go..oh...

I don't see it available for "macputer" yet but they almost spell themselves.

I'd have a look at other keyboard software and see if any suit you better as there can be quite a difference.

    Something like this for example...

    Link

The point is, i have to do it :)

When i got ill language was impacted. When i am tired or distracted or not feeling well, or feeling fine but not being well, this shows in my typing because my brain has trouble with the actual concept of language, so i am translating from thoughts in to words and the words in my head to the words on the screen.

When i first got better i was having language therapy which felt a bit like school comprehension and spelling tests, which is when i discovered forums. Here i can work as much on using language as with the stuff they set me to do, but with real people and talking about real things.

Fwiw i always totally understand when people choose to put me on ignore because it really must be tedious at times to read!

It is really ipmportnant i do not come to rely on things like spell check or the typing programmes you talk to. I guess one could say its like clearing a road in mountains to landslipde....they have to be cleared all the time, or the blockage will effectively close the road.

Cleaner texted recommending a Miele, OH remarked that she wasn't paying for it!

Henry weighs 6.6kg and current upright5.9kg, so just over 10% more - not a big deal I hope.

OK, so I always thought you were a "bird".
And you might be, but then you've got kids. And still you might be, but now I'm getting nervous I'm into territory that's just too damn nosey for the NPT. But then I'm sure you've mentioned "husband"

Of course, you've probably just mistyped.

Nah, you misunderstood what she said. We've seen silvercar's lady hands as well.

Silvercar's husband was saying that it was easy for the cleaner to recommend a Miele because it wasn't the cleaner (she) that was voing to pay out for it.

I have a very expensive hoover. It was £430 in the cheapest place. Utterly fabulous though and I don't need to buy cleaning products because it's a steamer too.
