I got a backdated payrise, after tax, it was £62.50 from Aug 2011. I'm not sure whether to laugh or be insulted. (It was for £150pa)
same happened to me a few years ago when i was in the civil service. pay negotiations were stalled by 13 months and then i got a backdated payrise of about £150 after tax.
we all just went and got p!ssed, and that was that.0 -

The salveggtionists are crop bound. I have never dealt with that so been getting help on here. If starving them doesn't work tomorrow it might be a home surgery....which i would prefer not to do as i have never seen it done. I asked vet on the phone and they just feel its a bit of a waste of time/money, but will show me...next time they are here....hmm. Might nit have the chickens then! Otherwise they are adorable. One has really feathered up, one not far behind. They are so cheeky and friendly. I am smitten...not good for the heartstrings with this crop issue.
Misskool i also love crocus.com for planning. Yet to buy anything there.:eek:0 -
Dh gets a bonus. Ha cost us money...now has to pay an acvountant, lol. The before tax amout would have paid architect. Acc. Says to buy something for the business that costs about ten grand with a loan. Just cannot face the extra debt plus it feels wrong. If i could build the stables with it i might feel better, a it would mean i could employ someone five days a week quite swiftly!0

I improvised. I had two sheets left on the kitchen paper roll, so took those off and cut the cardboard tube in half neatly. I then got a sandwich bag and shoved it down, then very carefully filled it with cold water, adjusting the bottom and topping it up until it was level with the top. I then secured the top with the ziplock action and added an elastic band (to be doubly sure).
I've now got two tubes of water turning into ice in the freezer.
BUT .... there was a bonus find! I had completely forgotten that about a week ago I'd picked up a bag of Birds Eye Fusion Egg Fried Rice, containing two individual portions. So I'm now microwaving one of those. Intriguing things they are - never had them before.... it turns out the bags are a pyramid and you snip off the top/corner and stand it up in the microwave for 3.5 minutes .... and that's a meal0 -

I love them too, especially mine. Poor mauve squeaker was so ill, and came and woke me up to help her, so i cleaned her up and then she started again....on the ruddy bed....she tried to leave the bed but wasn't fast enough. She has got better through the day, but now wants to stay up and chat instead of going to sleep, becuase she slept so much today. So we are watching two weeks notice and settling down slowly.0
