Hopefully not too close to the bone but on the BBC was the heartbreak story of the little girl disabled for life having been hit by the 19 year old son of a millionaire driving his range rover at 70 in a 30 zone. The insurance co (so in effect us) are going to be paying out millions for this whilst the 19 yo and his family don't pay anything (beyond no doubt a higher insurance premium which I am sure they can afford) which annoys me.

I suddenly thought you might think that the reason why I didn't reply to this bit was because it was too close to the bone. It wasn't. I just couldn't think of what to say. :o

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

If only. They want numbers, with evidence to back them up, that I can justify in detail and on oath.

The tedium of chasing up the details is not exactly fun, but the bit that really got me down was wading through our email correspondence about the divorce settlement. They were emotionally draining negotiations at the time, and I find the bleugh emotions coming back when I have to read through the emails. Which is odd, because I can talk about his affair without being affected at all - I remember that it felt agonising, but it doesn't touch me now even when I talk or think about it.

    This is terribly hard.

I am sorry you have to deal with this lydia.

Has anyone heard of a band called Blue October? I've won tickets to go and see them, just looking at Youtube and their stuff seems alright. It's an acoustic set, so I'm particularly intrigued but it's a day before my birthday and we've got a social engagements on the weekends either side, unrelated to birthdays so it would probably be my birthday night out. Are we going to be the oldest rockers in town, do you think?

Blimey, Morrissons are going for it with 15p off a litre of fuel. I didn't see what the minimum spend was.

Is it worth the round trip for people?! It's not that far for me, but the ueues last forever in our local one so I tend not to bother going there.

Well today was a good day - got home to find I had won on the premium bonds...£25 quid but it all helps....

Can't spend 60 quid at morrisons so it will have to be the old buy something and return it routine but offer is on till Sunday week and don't need to fill up now.
    I think....

Good luck with the interview chewy and good luck with the horrid stuff Lydia.

My nearest Morrisons is the one which I think is nearest michaels, which from my way of looking at it is on a horrible road that takes ages to get in and out of. 15p a litre is a fantastic offer, I'm just not sure I could cope with spending all that time in traffic to save £3.75. In fact I'm going to spend £3.75 so I don't have to go there. It does have a lovely fruit and veg section though.

Thanks both of you. TBH I've no idea how long it will go on for. :(

At least once we've had Wednesday's meeting then the lawyers will have the info they want and will be able to get on with stuff on my behalf, so I hope I won't have to go dredging through those emails again. :) (Although they may think of more questions they want me to find answers to, I suppose.)

My tank is empty but we have enough food. I've just realised that I don't need to fill up because I'm trading the car in, hopefully on Wednesday :D I'll do a shop and treat myself to a tankful when I get the new one. Should save me £7.50 at least.
