OP - your problem is not only trying to find someone who will give you a loan for a car, but also finding the money to insure and tax it. Which you also don't appear to have.

Yes, you can - you can put aside any thought of buying a car until you are back in work.

    Good luck with the jobseeking!

Or get the father to pay his dues.

Thanks for the advice, you also have a nerve judging me when you don't know me. I was asking a question and i said thankyou to the people that gave me a good honest answer without being sarcastic. I've taken to the fact that my chances of getting a loan are not good and so that's fine. I only wanted a loan because it would be easier for me, i also only wanted a newish car because again it would be easier. But like I said I've taken to the fact that i won't be able to do that. So i haven't gone on about it and i haven't moaned, I've just been answering people's questions. Someone asked me why I 'needed' a car and I told them but I didn't moan and I didn't get on the floor and scream and bang my fists because I can't get a loan and I have to save. So for your information you don't know me so don't treat me like one of your children and I don't need your sarcasm. I'm sorry that you don't like my answers to people's question's but that's all they are, are answers to people's question's.

i made a judgement based on the information YOU yourself had given

we all make judgements, every single day, each and every one of us. thats life

The information I gave was not for people to judge me on. I gave the information for people to give me good honest answer's, not to have a go at me. The question was just a question after all.

I get benefits as technically I am still on maternity leave and I would be if I didn't get made redundant. So yes, people who pay tax would be paying for the car but I'm sorry I can't do nothing about that.
You could always have done what I have.

Waited for children until you're in a position to support them yourself rather than having the rest of us support you.

Some of us aren't the same as you, we're all different. So thankyou, but I wanted my daughter but I didn't know that my car was going to start breaking every time I fixed it.

Sorry OP - you've just discovered that you can't afford a child and a reliable car.

As for the ambulance comments have any of you TRIED to get an amulance LOL
    Yes, it's not hard.

You ring 999 (or someone rings up for you), tell them you need an ambulance, tell them where you are, and tell them what's wrong. Simples.

Took less than 20 mins for the ambulance to arrive all three times. Fire engines appear even more quickly in my experience, and rapid response paramedics even faster than that (I think, but I wasn't fully conscious that time so I'm not 100% sure how long it took!).
