Because i don't live close to any towns or doctors so if my baby is ill then i can't get her to a hospital very quickly.
Lots of people can't get babies to hospital quickly so they ring an ambulance or they ring for patient transport or if not really an emergency then they call a taxi or get a lift from someone.
