It's a nightmare, as soon as weekend hits, traffic nearly blo*dy stops! Not because theirs queues of traffic in front of you, because that darn Fiesta (or like) infront of you incapable of getting upto the speed limit!!
On the way to the supermarket, 25mph in a 40 for about 1 mile. This same middle-aged guy even cut me up when he changed from the turn right lane into the straight forward lane - then had the audacity to pip and wave his arms at a truck driver who used the right lane to quickly (and safely i'll add) overtake him.
Followed by a similar aged guy doing 45mph on a 60 road!!
(Also to add, roads was not Icy, traffic was much lighter than usual and very few hazards on these particular roads)
I don't think i'm asking for much for people to atleast driver at speeds a little closer to the speed limits, 35 and 55 for each would have acceptable!

Same with people that seem to be incapible of indicating now.
The road is a far more selfish place now, people cant see past the end of their own nose especially to look in the rear view mirror to see someone behind them, instead we are meant to know they will be turning/changing lanes.0 -
Perhaps people are driving slower to save money?0

doing 55mph on the motorway to save money helps.
Doing 25mph in a 40mph area unless driving a tractor will cost you more.0 -
Wednesdays are seriously dangerous around here when the over 60s are heading to B&Q driving at 20 mph. I think Sunday drivers are a thing of the past - I come across posse's of them any day of the week!

Was the road conditions suitable for driving at 40 mph? A lot of drivers think speed limit is the minimum speed they should be travelling at no matter the condition of the road. I'm not trying to imply that you are one of those drivers.
However, drivers shouldn't unnecessary hold up traffic.0 -
there was lots out like that too ive noticed bus drivers are the same they just trundle along (very slowly) so i asked one couldt he go faster he said he could but his tea break was half an hour away and he didnt want to have to do another run before handReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

I've never worked out how going slow saves money. If a car is going slow in front of me; I have to put my foot down to pass it, therefore using more petrol and wasting money.0

It certainly sounds like the road conditions were okay.(Also to add, roads was not Icy, traffic was much lighter than usual and very few hazards on these particular roads)0
