I've a rubber broom like that too, though mine was from B&M bargains think it was £3. I tend to hoover after anyway so works fine to collect hair into a pile.0

We have a Miele cat and dog vacuum and it is brilliant. I know its a lot more than you say you want to pay out, but considering it has a 10 year guarantee and you are dumping cheaper less efficient models after a year, then in the long run it will save you money and in the short run you will be amazed how it works.0

Hethmar - I see your point but I have no money for the initial outlay to buy an expensive vacuum....
BTW - my old one, put it outside last night and was gone by the morning....0 -
LOL. It amazes me that you would have a lot of aggro dumping stuff, but leave it by the front hedge and someone will cart it off free
I put a table football game out there one night, huge thing that the boys had 20 years or more previously and had been stuck in the loft, One leg of the table missing and no balls left with it. Two hours later went to take the dogs out and blow me, it had gone already
I tried it with a couple of broken garden chairs too and they went almost immediately too. 0 -
Yup that is true

BUt what makes me laugh sometims are the freebiess ads on gumtree - people advertising their JUNK for free - things that are very heavy/bulky and they live on some 393477322th floor with no lift and advertise those for free to anyone who collects.....
Saw a materass yesterday. let me find it - tell me who would ever think of taking THAT? Yukkkkkk

Anyway, my daughter has just ordered the brooms that Paddypaws recommended, will see, will seeeeeee

How really weird, my daughter says she has ordered 2 of those this morning and was charged £17.
Told her to order one as the offer was buy one get one free at £10 per broom plud £6 delivery charge.
If She has ordered 2, we will be getting 4 (as per offer) but why would she pay £17?
Makes no sense and now the link from Paddypaws post does not work - like they do not have those brooms any more?
Hmmmm0 -
The broom is not on their website any more, just a demo LOL
May be same as when I recommended a particular cat litter from zooplus on here and then could never get it myself for several weeks as was alwasy out of stock LOL0 -
Dawnie- did you manage to order yours?0
