With 6 cats of my own I think I am in a good position to comment on this thread.
That broom is the most effective hair removal tool I have ever found, seriously! I have tiles and wood downstairs and with a daily sweep it gathers up all the dust and kind of rolls the tumbleweeds and loose hair up so it can be easily scooped into a dust pan or hoovered.
I have a hand held version that I use to do rugs/turtle mats/ sofa coverings.
I find actually hoovering a room to be pretty much a waste of time without sweeping with the above.
However the small compact ( was pretty cheap) Phillips compact hoover I have had for around 8 years is now showing signs of faultiness so will be watching out for recommendations on here.0 -

Paddypaws I bought one of these years ago at the Ideal Home and still use it to this day - i didnt mention it as the op said she didnt want to sweep the hair up but i have a 3 bedroom house with no carpet except on the landing & stairs and I sweep everything up with this brush then use dustpan and brush - with a hoover it blows the hair away as well so its an endless task. With this brush you can also use it when you've mopped the floors to remove any excess water (and i find it better if you use the toothed end first then go over with the flat end and you get the tiny dust particles). JML do a similar versions.
Just read the link again and its £10.00 and Buy 1 Get 1 Free - gonna order 2 as wouldnt wanna be without one if mine ever broke.A home is not a home ..... without a dog

I saw that and whilst its a bit steep it does still only work out £16.00 for two brushes delivered which isnt bad and trust me they will last years - i was trying to think when i got mine and it has to be 8 years ago
Whereabouts do you live - might be worth asking friends/family if they would be interested in one then you can split the delivery costA home is not a home ..... without a dog

Found the JML one - only £7.99 and worth looking around to see if you have one locally - Wilkinsons, Co-op, Asda plus other stores stock JML stuff - their delivery price is £2.95 http://www.jmldirect.com/uk/mops/rubber-wonderbroom/invt/r05wb30100000001/&bklist=icat,4,shop,4cleaning,4amopsA home is not a home ..... without a dog

Yes £6 delivery is steep, but it is a broom so would be a big package.
Buy the set, and share it with your daughter!
I too bought mine years ago at a Home show, thought it was a gimmick when the guy demonstrated it but there was a couple there who had gone JUST to buy one as they loved the one they already had.
I split a set with another woman but TBH always wished I had bought the two as it really is fantastic.
DO NOT BUY JML or other brands, honestly....I have tried a couple of other brands over the years and they are all rubbish in comparison.
Honest...I am not a sales person for this company, I promise.:D0 -
