Vacuum Cleaner to cope with 4 cats and a dog????

Yup, the all shiney and great VC that I bought last year has completely died on me and went to the skip now.
So I have no vacuum cleaner...... with 4 cats and a long haired GS...
No carpets, no stairs (flat not a house) - laminate and tiles indoors.
Do not want one that I have to keep on buying bags for.
Preferably bagless all together.
But one that will last a bit longer then a year...
The amount of fur I have flying around in massive, and as I have no carpets (no rugs either), it just flies everywhere, seeping is simply not on option really - tried several times and 5 min later all on the floor again.
Any recommendations?
Can not afford very much but... Hmmmm

I'd 100% say go for a Dyson, they do cost alot but they are worth it. Do you have a littlewoods account or a CC you could possibly put it on if so it will pay for its self over time because they last.
Amazon sell them for around £230, my mums old Dyson lasted 9 years before it finally died.0 -

And I wouldn't have a Dyson again.
We have 6 cats and 2 long haired dogs and we have to vacuum first with another cleaner before using the Dyson or the long hair winds round the spindle and the whole thing grinds to a halt. Also, you have to wash the filters quite often or else the suction just goes. However, I must say that when I do use the Dyson it does pull out lots of gunk that the other one misses.
When mine die, I'm planning to get a Henry.0 -
Thanks but Dyson is wey off my financial means now and for a long time.
I was thinking something in the £50 range TBH...
Paid £70 for my last one, was 140 but on half price sale.. sigh...0 -

If you're only paying £50, does it really matter if it doesn't last all that long?
Why not buy a really basic one from somewhere like Tesco - we had something similar to this and it lasted for a couple of years.

I bought a new hoover last week, wanted an upright. Went to Comet and got their own brand Proline bagless £37. I've 3 cats and a dog and laminate/tiles throughout the whole flat. It picks up great and comes with attachments including one of those turbo brushes.0

Or perhaps, this one?

You are absolutely right, and I know no vacuum cleaner is going to last HERE longer than a year so perhaps will go for the most basic one... hmmm
Ah this one is out of stock for delivery and out of stock in 10 nearest stores LOL0 -
If you don't have rugs or carpets, why a vacuum cleaner? why not a steam cleaner as it should sort out the fur easier0
