  • They may be breaking some information / data protection laws but what are you going to do? You cannot bring a prosecution against them that would be up to the CPS or the Data commission or whoever to do.

You cannot use that reason to think you could get away with these underpriced goods - totally separate issue.

This is what it was like:

£199 total. I put a 10% dicount code then it said: Total payment £25.94.

I paid by my card and it went though, I got a order confirmation with the same price reading so will keep that as evidence. After that I got a processing email and then a dispatch email!

    And thats that. . .

You need to be 100% correct and clear...dicount or discount?

  • I think you are barking up the wrong tree here. If they take the extra money just return the goods for a full refund.

Your consumer rights with regard to purchasing at an incorrect price (as far as the company are concerned) should not get distracted with whether they have retained some information they said they would not retain.

Everyone on here and HUKD's die to get a price glitch to be honoured and I didn't make a mistake, I just applyed the discount code and it reduced the items, then I paid for them! I don't know how much 10% reduces. I am crap at mathematics

They made a mistake by not protecting there website a bit more and also by still processing the order when the prices didn't add up on the order confirmation ( email/invoice )

So why is it my mistake??

I ordered from them twice and at different times and days apart, both ordered have been approved so you tell me who's making the bigger mistake???? ;)

Do you're minuses and pluses :p

You make a mistake spelling wise in most posts you type. should you be held to ransom because of that is the point I'm trying to make?

    Hi

If you paid using a realtime payment processor then they SHOULD NOT be able to take any further payment as they will not have access to the card details.

It is now against some kind of law for companies to store payment details that are not securely encrypted because of all the instances where people were leaving laptops laying about with millions of peoples data on and the TKMaxx fiasco.

I am intrigued to know what you bought now ;)
