That would depend on the terms of the shop dictating when the contract is formed. Most usual is upon dispatch, in which case you're home and dry. In theory.

However, there are instances of stores recalling couriers which, although strictly a breach of contract, means a fight if you want to try to get the goods at the price displayed on the site. Even then, your damages would only be limited to the amount you paid, so I'm fairly sure you'd have to accept a refund, rather than the goods.

Once the goods are in your possession, the contract is concluded.

Why don't you want your post quoted?

    help him people
  • Once you have the goods they will have no chance of getting the goods back or charging any more unless you specifically allow them to. They are deemed to have accepted the amount you offered.

    help patman :)
  • Because when you put you're avatar picture up or quote on these kind of websites, it gets spammed allover the internet which I think is not cool...

I'm guessing you ordered £200 worth of crack?

I ordered some items of a website and the total came to about £200 I applied a 10% discount voucher code and the total showed up £25.94.
I havent got my card stored on the website because its one of them secure checkouts where you put your card details in each time, you put you're card details in each time.
Its a offical big, well known company but I'd leave it as that.
anyway checked my bill statement and £25.94 has been taken out and the items have been dispatched, I have tracked them.

They can't take any more money from my card can they?? My card can only be only authorised by me again can't it? unless I say so and its there fault and error for letting it pass the order processing stage etc, wouldn't you agree?

Do you think I should contact them to see if things are ok, or shall I just leave it??

Please don't quote my post - Thanks

  • Nothing to stop them calling the courier back.
