can they do it then or has it been known to happen?
Yes and yes. Though I don't think they can without breach of contract, the end result is still that you don't get your goods at the price paid.

It was mildly funny the first time.
Second and third a bit repetitive.
    Fourth, just dull.

And there's nothing to stop them debiting your card with the correct amount once they realise a mistake has been made. If they do you'll need to dispute it with your card issuer. Good luck with that one.
  • If the invoice shows the full amount, then can the company not bill for the difference? If it was a computer glitch at the checkout.

I know if they priced it up wrong and invoiced it wrong, accepted your money then dispatched the goods they cannot bill for difference but this does not seem the case in this instant.

Did you get an order confirmation via email? If so which amount is quoted on this?

Yes, that is the bit that would worry me.

    loooooool ahaa
  • It would be a civil dispute, not a criminal one (I think).

If they don't store the info then they cannot take the money. Although saying they do not store it and actually not storing it are 2 different things.

For instance; I am a millionaire! (just because I say it doesn't make it true ;))
