My pleasure darling
JulieG - welcome Eliza, I love that name, it was my great grandmothers name
Lamewolf - its not selfish at all. In fact I suspect there are posters on here and indeed in DT who would have a parade in your honour for not adding to the populationI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

:j congratulations, lovely name :T
lamewolf ca't believe people would think it selfish. Not having a child because you don't think you could care for them well enough or provide for them emotionally is the opposite of selfirsh.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

JG: Typical! I lurk around here for weeks waiting for the BIG news, and when it arrives I miss it.
Beautiful name, beautiful baby, (just has to be) and clever, clever JulieG. Every blessing in this world and out of it for this lovely little family.:A:A:j:j:A
LW: That was a brave and sensible decision to make. Bringing up children is hard enough when you have been desperate for them and love them more than life itself. But if you aren't that way inclined in the first place it must be hell on earth for you and the child. Why would that be selfish? it seems to me that a lot of misery has been spared. Thanks, all. I've had loads of people say that I "should" want to have babies, and all that, and that I must be deficient as a woman if I don't. *rolls eyes*
I'm thrilled to bits for anyone who has a much-wanted baby (though I have to admit, I'll decline the invitation to hold a baby - too scared of dropping the little chap/lass, for one thing) but it just wasn't for me, and that's all there is to it.
Now, put a furbaby anywhere near me, and it's a different matter......:o
JG just post when you get chance - I know we have rafts of cyber-aunties wanting a look, but catch your breath first.;) Y'know, I had a strange feeling 'twas going to be a Rooette.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Congratulations Julie G on the birth of your baby girl xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
