HELP NEEDED recorded delivery problem

I agree it was the postie taking short cuts as its there responsibility, the neighbours have rang but they are not getting anywhere
How did they know it was you that put it through the door?
Why didn't they chase it before the date of the concert/gig?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
How annoying!
I work from home at the moment, and regularly get asked to sign for and take in packages for my neighbours. About half the time they are surprised when I take their parcel round in the evening, as no card has been put through their door. The courier companies are better at leaving a card than RM.
It's true they don't care who signs, though; on one occasion I was in the bathroom when the postman knocked. My seven year old grand-daughter opened the door, but perhaps luckily she only speaks Spanish so didn't understand what the Postie wanted when he thrust his electronic-signature-gizmo at her. I had a few hard words for him when she ran to fetch me, but he just shrugged and said he didn't have time to hang around.
It is disgusting that a child can sign when there could be anything in a parcel0 -
I wouldn't have paid anything.
The postie should have left a card with the neighbour informaing him that his mail was at your house. If he didn't then surely the neighbour could have tracked the tickets online when they hadn't arrived by a certain date. This would have shown that they had been delivered and signed for by a neighbour, even if he couldn't tell who that was by the signature shown online, I'm sure it could ahve been easily solved by knocking on a few doors.0 -
because they contacted Ebay thinking that it was there fault and they havnt delivered it, they then had to get a tracking number from RM which they then had to reply to neighbour with and neighbour got sent the number and a piece of paper with my sons signature on proving he was the one that signed itSambucus_Nigra wrote: »How did they know it was you that put it through the door?

So it was only a few days to get all of that and i guess they waited until just before the concert to contact ebay but im not sure0 -

Postie is an imbecile and a lazy one at that. I'd be taking it up with the PO most vigourously.
He knew it was for next door but failed to tell us he had signed for one for them, he knows its partly his fault but i dont think a 13 year old should have that responsibility in the first place or any age child
Like i said before any age can sign according to the PO and without knowing whats in a parcel which i think is wrong0 -
I assumed 'signed for' was to prove that the item had been delivered to the correct address. When the postie can't deliver 'signed for' items here I get a card through the door saying it can be collected from the sorting office as it couldn't be delivered due to a signature being required.0

Hi
I dont know when neighbour ordered the tickets from ebay but i know they came here on the 17th December and concert was the 22nd, i guess he didnt see a need for panic until right near the concert as they must have assured him that they have been sent so i guess he was just waiting0 -

Why is it partly his fault? He is not paid to deliver post!
He just signed for something, not to say that he would continue the process and do the last bit of the postie's job for him...he hasn't signed up to the terms and conditions of carriage...it's ridiculous to partly blame him.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
