  • Ok it is well known I am easily pleased.......

I have just paid my car tax, a full year, yes a full year.

    I am totally delighted :)

Without wishing to sound cocky I will be in a position to pay the full year insurance when it is up too, in cash, first time ever. Ok watch the roof fall in now I have said that!!!!

  • Hi all,

Just checked my Barclaycard account online and the next due payment has been changed to match the CCCS payment. I am taking this as good news that the offer has been accepted? Also, the planned interest is £25, not the usual £95 so again good news I think that they have at least reduced interest rates. I have not received anything in writing from them. How long should I wait before contacting them to try and get interest stopped completely?

    Thanks

    LBM 12.09.12 - £53K in debt.
    DFD - 11.07.2019 (OMG).
New DFD is 28.10.2018 due to paying the absolute maximum.

Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.

    Good news I'd say

You can ask each month if you like, depending on how much energy you have

  • I have plenty of energy at present. Want to reduce the length of the DMP by as much as possible obviously.

It was the 3 years of being swamped by debts that left me with no energy, the DMP has literally been a lifeline.

I think I will wait until they have at least received my first DMP payment.

    Thanks

The worrying thing for me is that I haven't received any phone calls, the calm before the storm I suspect! :(

We never got phone calls from creditors, so you might not hear anything.
Plus there is a letter you can send to ask the creditors to only contact you by letter
Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
