Hi,
We had exactly this from them. I then rang them and explained the situation again, being blunt, and they said ok then, we accept it. I don't think we ever got a confirmation letter from them saying they did. They reduced their % to nominal only, and would not be lowered on that. We eventually paid them off as they were one of our smallest.
To TiredMumof2 - Moorcroft have been pretty fine to deal with for us. Stopped % as soon as they had the accounts.

We've been with Payplan since Feb 2011, but in Feb 2012 had to drastically reduce our payment after I lost my job. Due to mental health problems, I am unlikely to get another job at least in the near future. Payplan take their payment on or around the 4th of the month, and pay our creditors on or around 11th. However, they haven't made any payments at all for September, even though they've taken the payment from us. Obviously our creditors aren't impressed.
Does this sort of thing happen to others? Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Just received a letter from Barclaycard, they are suspending the interest etc until they hear from CCCS, Capital One have issued us a default notice which I understand is standard, waiting for Halifax now eek for the overdraft (£1000) and personal loan (£4000) has anyone had dealings with them?0

Hi,
Yes, the default is standard, and far better to get it early on in the process. Halifax - some people have found them very difficult, but I've found them absolutely brilliant. I'm two years in, I have a Halifax CC, the last bit of a loan and a £5k OD. Two of these debts were passed to Blair, Oliver Scott pretty quickly - these are Bank of Scotland's in-house debt collectors and, to be honest, they're fine to deal with although don't be panicked by their letters which are usually quite scary!

Hi Raksha :hello:
Am very sorry to hear about your problems and hope you are feeling ok.
Have you contacted Payplan to ask them what is going on? The October payments should have been due yesterday so can you check if they have paid your creditors double this month?

The problem is that a default notice is not necessarily a default and the two are confused by many people. We get a default notice every month from most of our creditors yet still have no defaults after 8 months. We were told RBS had issued a default but it appears that they changed their mind :undecidedLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Yes I've contacted them to find out what's happening. The October payments are showing as pending. It appears to be the normal monthly amount.
I'm getting very disillusioned with them, we re did our budget a few months ago, and managed to increase our monthly payment on paper, but since then they haven't taken the increased amount, they made no payment in September, despite taking payment from us, and now Octobers payments (still not taking the agreed increased amount) have missed off 2 of our creditors (Very and Marshall Ward).
OH has untreated depression, suffers from chronic pain, and this situation isn't helping either of us. I'm feeling quite let down, as I could have done a better job myself by just setting up standing orders to pay all my debtors. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

Perhaps a word with CCCS might be an idea, you should be able to transfer your DMP over if you're not happy.
Not saying you should, just suggesting it as an option. Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70
