Hello I am looking to start with payplan this month. Does anyone know what Natwest , Halifax, Barclaycard and Capital one are like? I used to have a lot more debt than I do now.
Natwest I used to have 30400 and now only 3500.
Halifax total was £16,000 now around £6k
I am just worried about the creditors not accepting the lower payment. Also has anyone checked their credit report? does it show as an arrangement or a default?0 -

I started DMP in November last year with CCCS. Unfortunately most of the debt is with HSBC (2 overdrafts £3k, 2 personal loans £7k and cc £280) and Barclaycard (4 cc, £800, £5k, £3k and £2k).
HSBC are phoning all the time and we are given them our CCCS number, they are now requesting a letter of authorisation to deal with CCCS and an updated SOA, but I thought CCCS would have provided this to them in Nov. Should I send them any of this information or contact CCCS to deal with this. Also one of the overdrafts was £1500 but due to them not cancelling the DD for loans they have taken payments then refunded payments then whacked a load of charges, so since Nov the balance has now gone up to £1900, do I have a right to get these charges reimbursed.
Another query I have is over the loans, we only had the capital left on the loans so don't know if they will charge more interest, could someone advise
With regard to Barclaycard they have accepted the reduced payments and have not nagged us like HSBC but have only dropped interest to 6.9% I was hoping they would go the 0% or at the most 3%, anyone have any idea how to achieve this.
I'm sorry for the long post but hoping for some answers as I feel a little disheartened by CCCS as I thought they would have dealt with some of these issues on our behalf.
Many Thanks
Kirstie
Some creditors don't always (literally) get the message, either deliberately or accidently. You could ask CCCS to resend the details. I had a similar problem with Santander and Nationwide and it took several attempts by Payplan for them to get the message.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Theres no hard and fast rule as to what creditors accept, If they don't accept payments will still be sent. The payment they are given is on the basis of your ability to pay. I found Barclaycard okay in accepting although after the first 3 months they have placed interest on at 5.9%.
Barclays like to put AP markers on, RBS defaulted after 3 mths, MNBA look like they will default me soon.
Personally I would prefer to be defaulted as they will drop off my files at the 6 yr point. AP markers will be worse as if my plan runs for 6yrs AP markers will affect me long after the defaults disappear.0 -
Oh right!! See I had to think long and hard about it. I'm quite upset that I have to do it as I was aiming to be debt free this year as my natwest loan only has 6 months left. I hope things get better soon0

And the only contact I have had with them was a Default Notice when the DMP started (which was expected) and the odd letter confirming my DMP, no harrassing phonecalls etc !.
Hope this helpsHello I am looking to start with payplan this month. Does anyone know what Natwest , Halifax, Barclaycard and Capital one are like? I used to have a lot more debt than I do now.

Urgh, feeling very down and depressed today.
Had to spend money in town for birthday presents, but just kept seeing lots of nice stuff that, in the past, i could have just got for myself with no bother, now suddenly £10 is a huge amount of money.
Just feeling crying.
I know that sounds self indulgent but it's how I'm feeling right now.Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

My dmp starts 1st March but today I find my wages have gone into my old bank account! Filled out the form in work to change bank details but obviously they haven't done this! Wages eaten by charges - is there anything that can be done? Can m work reverse the transaction?0

Not been a good day today so far.
CCCS take first payment out on Feb 1st. But today I had payments due for Natwest loan and interest on OD. It's a lot of money.
I had already sent NatWest a letter saying CCCS will be in touch and sent them two token payments for £10 for loan and OD about two weeks ago. The payments haven't been credited.
CCCS were told by NatWest that they had no record of my account when they tried to contact them with DMP offer.
Today I called NatWest and they said they will continue to add interest and charges to my account until they receive anything from CCCS. So I told CCCS to resend the DMP offer to NatWest.
Is there anything I can do to get back what NatWest will apply in charges and interest to my account today? I mean, it's not mine or CCCS's fault that the DMP is not set up with NatWest because NatWest said they have no record of my account! Also, it hasn't been passed to a DCA yet, I haven't missed a payment until today. So down about this.
I'm already on OD limit, got a feeling the OD account will just have £6 charges applied to it everyday or something0 -

Thanks. The feeling isn't helped by the fat that yesterday we asked the CCCS to not take as much this month to help us pay for the car repairs from the MOT, only today to have the garage tell me that it needs a further £34 spent on it.Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
