Hiya, send them this if you like.....

    Dear Sirs,

    Account No:

Please be advised that I will only communicate with you in writing. I have noted your repeated attempts to contact me over the past few weeks and these have been duly logged by time and date.

Furthermore, should it be your intention to arrange a “doorstep visit”, please be advised that under OFT rules, you can only visit me at my home if you make an appointment and I have no wish to make such an appointment with you.

There is an implied license under English Common Law for people to be able to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v Sheppard & Short Ltd [1959] 2 QB 384. per Lord Evershed M.R.). Therefore take note that I revoke license under Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and, if you do so, you will be liable to damages for a tort of trespass and action will be taken, including but not limited to, police attendance.

    Yours faithfully

    That's great, thank you

erm, no..... :o Where would I find one of those? Thanks HH :)

The only letter I have sent so far was advising of my financial situation and that I was about to start dmp with CCCS (included token payment) Should I be sending letters asking about stopping charges/interest? I assumed they would contact me first about DMP and I would take it from there but apart from Capital One haven't heard from anyone else (God I am clueless really)

I dont belive that your 'cluless' this whole DMP thing is a mine field , where no one can predict how a creditor will react when advised of re payment proposals. On the other hand CCCS should do all the negotiating ref charges and interest on your behalf.

Just a quick one reference how some creditors will or not accept a re payment offer.

I'm in thre process of helping a friend with her self managed DMP. She posted all the relavent CFS, list of creditors and total ammount owed.
One creditor asked for a phone call immediatly to discuss the account so she did. The call centre operator asked to confim her details and how much the offer was. After tapping away on the key board she came back with the reply "yes thats fine and has been accepted". Just to prove that some of these decisions that we all hope will be collated in a fair and understanding mannor by a human resource are in fact decided by computer software based on pre determined figures. Just like applying for a loan in fact.

    Hi all,

Got a letter from CCCS today saying they tried to contact NatWest (CC, Loan, Overdraft) but NatWest were 'unable to accept the reduced payment proposal because of: no record of account'.

I sent copies of my statement which had my sort code and account number clearly labelled to CCCS.

CCCS have said in the letter that I don't need to take action and they will continue to send payment on my behalf.

Why have NatWest said they have no record of account? My CC is now not showing in my online banking either. What's going on? Help please.

    Thanks,
    Typhoo

    Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie and hoping to start my DMP on the 1st of Feb. Nervous and excited, hoping it all goes smoothly....enough...but being realistic after reading everyone's posts on here. I think this thread is going to be very helpful for the coming months, although I've got lots of good friends around me, I don't have any family in the UK so think I'll be leaning on you guys lots. It's obvious people on here 'understand' the trials of all this. But i've been struggling with keeping on top of my debt for over 5 years now, thinking I could pay it off with help because I never missed payments but constantly having to say no to anything that was related to me or being nice to me.

Currently have my fingers ever so tightly crossed that my wages are paid into new Co-op on Wednesday and not my Halifax account in case they freeze them and my overdraft swallows it all up....eeeek! I've no idea what I'll do if that happens as I don't have any savings put aside (silly me), I just have to hope that work have put the details through in time, they say they have but I'm nervous nonetheless.

I've decided that 2012 is going to be my year to take control of my life so this is the first big step. I noticed some people on here are trying weight loss this year too, I'm also on that wagon, I think having positive things to focus on will help.

So anyways for now I just wanted to say hi and wish everyone luck in the current situations.

No doubt you'll be hearing from me soon...here goes nothing!

    Thanks

  • Send a complaint to Natwest. Ask for a response in 2 weeks. If yoou don't get a good response complain to FOS.

    Good luck.

I haven't heard anything back from NatWest. Nor have my token payments of £10 per account been applied (they were sent three weeks ago). I can still access my online banking account but it only shows my current account (overdraft) and loan. Not my CC....

Any advice for next steps are appreciated..
