  • Afternoon all :D

Well Payday have accepted my F&F but say I'll get a letter after I pay (confirmed by them replying to my letter by e-mail). I've said thanks but I need it in writing before I send the cheque - I hope I'm doing the right thing and they won't withdraw the offer :o

W0nga have said no, so I've increased it a little bit - they want £400 I've offered £200 now and also asked for a full statement listing all the charges they've added on and the payments I've made as I have no idea what they have added on in interest or fees

Out of interest how often should I receive statements from everyone I owe money too - does it vary? Its almost a year since I started my DMP - and what a relief of a year it has been, even with the hassle at the start. To those just starting out it really does get easier, its the best thing I did - money wise - and I wish I'd had my proper LBM years ago.

Have a nice weekend everyone
Sounds like you are making good progress, well done. They are obliged to give you a statement once a year. I would still request them and complain to FOS if they don't, you are entitled to know each month if they are adding interest morally I think.

Just thought I would share some good news. Just having a chat with Mum-In -Law on the telephone when she was telling me she has to pay £500 for her 2 dogs to go into kennels when they go to oz for 3.5 weeks this March. Then I had a brain wave. We only live about 0.5 miles away and we have no pets etc. So I suggested that we move into her home for the duration and house/pet sit and in return she would give us the Kennel fees.
She said yes as she was quite worried about putting them in kennels for such a long time.
So its win, win, win for all concerned. We get extra money (also save on our heating bills) and she gets happy dogs.

    As you say, win win!

I'm getting a bit worried and annoyed with CCCS. My 1st DMP payment went out on 1st Jan. My creditors have all been fantastic about freezing interest etc. I've had 3 calls from Nationwide today and a letter from Barclaycard threatening to pull out of the agreement as they have received no money from CCCS. What's going on? They took it out of my account 3 weeks ago!

The preditors are just trying it on! That are automated letters.

Have you checked you statement at CCCS online? My January one is on there already.

No I went straight onto the DMP.

You need to call them as they should know that CCCS payments will not hit your account until after the 20th. Most prob computer letter but ring to put your mind at rest.
Thinking about it I had a similar problem with Next, once I rang them they changed the pay date on their system and then all was ok
  • Quick question - 10 year old wants a natwest adapt account for his pocket money when he turns 11 next month so he can have his own iTunes account for apps, etc like his brother does. Application says I need to provide proof of MY id and address - will they credit check me for his account? And if so, will the DMP matter? He could apply via his Dad's address but to be honest, as his dad is currently challenging the child benefit (long story!) I don't want my son having anything at his address!
    LBM:1/1/12
Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAID
Found YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!
  • Hi all!

I just sent my dirct debit mandate off to CCCS yesterday and also all my letters to my creditors. A bit nervous still, dont know why! I had tried to do my own DMP last month but circumstances have changed again so had to go with CCCS. My OH isn't able to work all the shifts she was doing as she is pregnant and has a bad back. I'm hoping my creditors accept the offer from CCCS as this is lower than what I had offered them the first time!
Also, I had to put on unauthorised overdraft on two current accounts, these are all made up of bank charges. Do you think CCCS will be able to get these refunded? I contacted the bank but they refused!
  • Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

We are moving house soon- I just wondered who I need to update my address with if debts have been passed onto debt collection agencies? Do I still need to change address with original creditors as well?

Sorry you are feeling low. CCCS seem to have double standards, there are many that have very long ones. Have you contacted the citizens advice. National debtline are good too. I know a couple of people that are doing self managed on the new government initiative CASHflow too. You will be able to do this.

I'd change with both to be on the safe side incase the new debt people are in house. Copy your DMP provider in for extra proof.
