    Afternoon everyone,

    Esmf, your eye sounds painful.

JG, you must be really frustrated but I second the person who said to go for a walk, it doesn't have to be long, just brisk. it got me going with DD1 and DD2.

Hugs to all who are poorly or sad especially Lou, LW, JackieG and Molly.

Beth, make sure that you don't overdo it!

Busy day at work today, that's why I haven't made it on till now.

Went back to ballet yesterday for the first time since Christmas and my legs are killing me today! I need to do some more exercise to shift the Christmas pounds!

My DDs got their ballet exam results yesterday. DD1 got a distinction in grade 6 and DD2 got a merit in grade 4. I am so proud of them.:D

Tea tonight is something with mince. any ideas other than chilli, meatballs, spaghetti bolognese or mince and dumplings?

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

Cait - how dreadful, you might find your friend appreciates it if you go to the funeral. (((hugs))) hope you feel better soon x x

Moorhen - well done to your DDs:T

I've made some leek and potato soup this morning, it was lovely if I say so myself.

    Jobs all done:j

.... My friend and I parted a couple of years ago on not good terms but I feel that maybe I should contact her...not sure though. I will definitely go to the funeral and pay respects, I knew her family well and no one deserves that...what is the world coming to? OK, off to do something that I am paid to do, will try to get back later.

Cait, why not send your friend a sympathy card and also go to the funeral - you said you know the family and it is a gentle way of showing your friend that you are thinking of her at this difficult time.

Good day everyone and <<hugs>> to those whose are poorly, injured, or just feeling a touch of the January blues.
NSD for me today, and I have a big wash load on at the moment as the sun is shining and a light breeze blowing so it will be out on the line in about half an hour.I picked DGS shoes up from the cobbler for DD as he had broken the pull across strap off, and my lovely local cobbler fixed it so its wearable again DD wasn't looking forward to have to buy him a new pair of school shoes ,so I suggested it maybe repairable and it was so £3.50 is better than £35.00 for new shoes, especially when January is streetching out for at least another few weeks before her payday :)
Right I'm off to have a cheese salad sandwich and some fruit for lunch and a nice large cuppa then I shall hand out the washing and put my feet up and finish off the hot waterbottle cover that I am knitting for my friend out of odd colours of left over wool
Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing, and fingers crossed JulieG's little one will make an appearance sooner rather than later as I think we are all keyed up for her on here

    Morning All

DH is at work, DS is up but doesn't have to start college today until 10.30am and DD is at work this afternoon.

Really annoyed at the college they have decided to move the engineering dept to Houghton Regis which is 3 miles away and it is situated in a very rough area to boot, so as from March the students will have no access to practical engineering or CAD until September when the whole lot has been moved :mad::mad: How do they expect them to get their modules finished on schedule? A lot of parents are angry and we are waiting for an explanation from the college

Another thing that is making people angry here is the fact that in the southern part of Central Beds we have been paying a lot more council tax than the towns in the middle and north and when the council was asked when everyone will pay the same council tax, their answer.... I kid you not was that the people in the middle and north are not used to paying such a high council tax :mad::mad::mad:

Well I am off for a calming cuppa before I blow a gasket.

JulieG try having some nookie it has been known to soften things up a bit ;)[/QUOTE]

DH's birthday tomorrow so DGD2 can help me bake a cake for him. I knew I shouldn't have cleaned the kitchen last night.
