Morning everyone
Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Dry and quite mild here this morning. DH up and off to work stupid early. Dinner last night was quickies, so a few LO's used up from the fridge. Tonight we will be using up the LO beef and yorkshires etc, with mash, veg and gravy.
Fence very nearly complete they didn't quite finish yesterday so will return this morning to complete the job, am pleased with what they have done so far, garden is a complete tip as all the old panels are in a pile in the middle and there's piles of earth from where they've dug the holes for the new posts, but they will be clearing up before they finish and more importantly if I'm not happy they won't be getting paid! But I'm sure it will be fine, they look to have done a pretty good job and asked for no deposit and said that they don't want paying until I am completely happy - can't say fairer than that!:T
Think my friend will come over for coffee later with her son, think she is going to have a tough year, think her life is about to spiral out of control, it's a complicated situation, don't really know what to advise, I just try to be there for her as and when she needs me to be and try not to judge - hugs, coffee and cake seems to help!
Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Am sooooo fed up! Since Sunday I have been having strong braxton hicks every night... and bad pains every morning! Yet still nothing!!!!!!!
I don't mind a day or two in pain if something would actually happen!
Oh well, midwife is here tomorrow morning... and I get my sweep! Maybe that'll get things started?!?!?!?!
Got to go... school run this morning!

Morning everyone. I feel like Gwenyth Paltorw today forcing crazy health drinks on my OH and I'm about to do some yoga! I managed to persuade OH to drink a big glass of vegetable juice(spinach, kale, apple, cucumber, celery and carrot!) though he wasn't keen on my fibre-tastic muffins as I put a bit too much bicarb in. My juicer arrived yesterday and I am in love. It was ~£60 but I've wanted one for months and it was bought with money I was given at Christmas so... it's okay
I'm even finding ways to cook the pulp so I don't waste(well, compost) too much.
I have so many ideas for things I want to do this year but right now I'm just swamped in revision for my exams so all those fun things will have to wait.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Morning all!!
Back to reality today. So WM is on, there are dishes to be done, but they can wait. I've a stew in the SC for dinner tonight, dog is fed, but not yet walked, will do that later.
Got about 3 loads of washing i want done today if possible, so that the weekends jobs are minimised.
Am going to call the church to arrange a meeting, OH is so on board it surprises me!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Morning :hello:
Is this your first baby, JulieGeorgiana?
I have calf musclesThey've finally re-emerged after years of hiding. I keep standing in front of the mirror to admire them :rotfl:
My shredder has given up, I've ordered a new one. Wish it would hurry up, my 'stock' of paper for the chickens is almost gone.
I'm still decluttering - you must all think my house is full of junkMy head is clearing as I go, the more I do the more relaxed I feel.
It's been a week since I lost my job so I'll start looking for a new one today. I've told everyone I know that I'm looking, I've already heard of a couple but one I can't get to and the other is mad, mad hours. I'll spend a couple of hours looking online this afternoon. I'll go through my wardrobe for suitable interview clothes then iron them so they're ready.
Yesterday, I wrote a list of jobs I'd like to do. Then my mind wandered and I spent a lot of time thinking about what I REALLY want to do - you know the type of thing, where hours and money don't matter, what would I love? Answer - captain of a pirate ship in the 1700s :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Morning All
DH is at work, DS is up but doesn't have to start college today until 10.30am and DD is at work this afternoon.
Really annoyed at the college they have decided to move the engineering dept to Houghton Regis which is 3 miles away and it is situated in a very rough area to boot, so as from March the students will have no access to practical engineering or CAD until September when the whole lot has been moved :mad::mad: How do they expect them to get their modules finished on schedule? A lot of parents are angry and we are waiting for an explanation from the college
Another thing that is making people angry here is the fact that in the southern part of Central Beds we have been paying a lot more council tax than the towns in the middle and north and when the council was asked when everyone will pay the same council tax, their answer.... I kid you not was that the people in the middle and north are not used to paying such a high council tax :mad::mad::mad:
Well I am off for a calming cuppa before I blow a gasket.

We've started using a teapot and a teacosy and its amazing how much nicer the tea is plus the teacosy keepsi t lovely and warm:T My teacosy is a lovely union jack one that I got in the sales for £1.50:)
When all my jobs are done its feet up time - lots to watch on sky + and I'm halfway through my Mrs Brown's boys dvd - this is hilarious:D plus a read using my kindle - only got one book on it so far so might enjoy a browse later and see what I can find at a reasonable price. Also I want to have a look at the site Candygirl showed me of free Kindle books.
