Have a feeling that these jobs will be offered to those on the reserve lists?
Matt
I would be very surprised if they do that. As far as I know, in CS they never carry forward results of a recruitment exercise for one position on to another position. Even though it would save costs and make sense as some of the guys on the reserve list may want to accept it, the way they would perceive this is that they did not open the AO opportunity out to everyone so it isn't fair and open. example: someone might not have applied for EO role thinking they lack experience or skills but may feel they have adequate experience and skills for AO position. Let's wait and see though as they may end up surprising us (as with some other things they've done this time)0 -

Just rang Disclosure Scotland. Got a provisional Offer and Accepted on the 21/4/12. My certificate has been posted as of yesterday. So took approx. 14 days depending on when DWP actually filled in the form.0

I sent an email requesting my position on the reserve list for Kent on the 23rd of last month and received this reply today:
Hi David,
As the Regional Recruitment Coordinator for London and the Home Counties I have been asked to respond to the email you sent to our Shared Services Centre.
As you know you are on a 6 month waiting list. Unfortunately, according to our policy I am not in a position to disclose your exact position.
Regards
Julie

Dont know what to think about this!!0 -
Couple of points here.
1) I've checked Civil Service website quoted for my region under DWP any vacancies, any pay, any grade etc.. - NO VACANCIES
2) I've checked Civil Service website quoted for ANY region DWP any vacancies any grade etc.. - NO VACANCIES
Am I right in thinking that all you keen people out there have already applied for Civil Service some time ago and are now gradually coming round in the selection process?
Having read your blogs I can't help but wonder why on earth anyone would want to work for these blood suckers anyway - gravytrain springs to mind!0 -

So I have had to send in 2 x personal referees today after originally providing my previous HR dept (original application) + 2 x business referees (after provisional offer) - has anyone else had to do the same? My business referees have not yet been contacted.
Pleased it seems things are progressing but not sure why a total of 5 referees have had to be provided. Any insight appreciated as to what they're looking for and why 2 x personal referees suddenly needed???0
