Providing that you accepted the offer within 5 days from the email/notification I can't see why they haven't sent your CRB application out yet. You should really fallow that up.

I know - but how?? Recruitment line said they had no access to any information and couldn't help, and I emailed essr north east as the offer email came from them. How else can I follow up? Is there someone else I should be asking for, or am I just not in the first batch of checks? Btw I accepted my offer and did the next stage thing the day I got the offer. I am beginning to get a bad feeling about it all

Are you aware of whether your referees have been contacted? As mine have not. I guess I'll call Scotland Disclosure tomorrow to check the progress of my application.

Last week I had an email requesting for a second referee and my first referee received an email from DWP.

I have now withdrawn my application from DWP and have started my new position.

Therefore Good Luck to all those who have had offers in their new role and to all those on the reserve lists, I hope you get called up soon.

You need to call disclosure Scotland to see where you basic check progress is. If they say, they don't have records of it then you need to email essr. None of us in e Scotland have heared anything regarding locations. Hth

Lurking around here for any B&S news.

What was your score and what is your preferred location (if you dont mind me asking). Also, when did u receive ur B&S offer. I'll keep you posted about any news I find out.

Has anyone heard from BC or Staffs and Shrop regarding locations/start dates etc.

I just got offered a job as a work choice advisor for local government so I'm hoping it will be gd. I worked previously as an EO but left in January as I thought my contract would end and travelled for a bit. On a reserve list, but quite low down I'd imagine!!
Anyone any advice for references when you've not told your manager you're going! I work shift work as a support worker, and believe me he'll make my life hell if he fancies it (13 hour shifts aren't unusual)

    Thanks,

Hi Debbie doo, it took over a fortnight to get a reply & they wouldn't tell me how many positions were offered in the end. I had 33 at interview so there must be at least 73 candidates in S E Wales who got between 33 and 36 points. It sounds incredible doesn't it?

    Thanks,

References usually ask for a previous employer not manager so if you can send it to HR department or whoever would deal this sort of thing and not your manager. He will be informed either way but at least he can't give you a negative reference.

Well I got home last night to a letter from DWP asking for more information about the 2 months I worked as self-employed. I accepted the provisional offer over 2 weeks ago and they're only now asking me for the information!?!?! Ok, so I went to fill out the form only to find it asked exactly the same questions as they asked on the application form, no more, no less! What is the point!!! The only thing I can hope now is that they'll get it tomorrow morning which is probably when they'll get my disclosure so hopefully it won't slow things up at all.

    Bizzare !!!
Just had a email - from DWP with a provisional offer for West Yorkshire with 35 points .. Did not expect this at all as been ages and had 4 rejections from north east !!! anyone else had this !! thought it was past the offer time !
Confused with the hole process... One other question do i need to send off for a CR check or do DWP do this as i have had to do it myself for the Envvironment agency ?
