Any news today for Thames Valley.
It does not seem there has been much at all across the board for Monday and today, perhaps they are catching up on the RDO's from working the weekend.
Please, let it be tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this, maybe yesterday if things keep on the way they are!!!)0 -

It's tragic that a few trolls have had such a negative impact on this thread, as people like you, aylithuk and many others have really made the ups and down of this whole experience easier with sound, good advice and info. Cheers.0 -
That's good. CS account told me I wasn't good enough @ 10.20am this morning. I just had email from them at 10.18pm tonight to say the same. Talk about p..s up in brewery ! !0

Sam - I'm not sure how correct this is so I apologise if I'm wrong but I believe someone on here said the references are more to check employment if they can't verify your details with HMRC. That would make sense in a way as some friends who are in the civil service (but not DWP/JCP) haven't been asked for references. I'm in the same position as you with my boss, but thankfully one of my lovely colleagues has been given a promotion and is now in charge of the rest of us (not that it means much considering there's only 4 people in the office excluding the boss) so he's my line manager and can give my reference.
I think that is the case as well. If the HMRC can confirm you've been paying tax then it shows employment.
I have a feeling for my OH because he left his job in 2010 (So we could move closer to my work place - long story!) and didn't sign for a year (we lived off savings and my wage) that his references would be contacted.
I believe they also only check the last 3 years work history?0 -
Was your application for a Welsh speaking position? If so, declining the SEW offer won't affect us as my partner doesn't speak Welsh!
Thank you for the thought though, and good luck in getting your preferred office
Also, has anyone had any success in finding out where they are on the reserve list? I've still got my fingers tightly crossed for my partner who acehived 36 in SEW, as I'm aware that people who achieved 37 have received provisional offers. Would love to know how far down the reserve list she is, but waiting to see if anyone actually has any success in getting this kind of info?
Sadly yes they are both welsh speaking posts. I scored 33/45 in both interviews. It certainly does pay to be bilingual!0 -
Well, as expected I was unsuccessful for SE Wales with 28 points at interview. I was an internal applicant, but have since finished my FTA contract. I do not know of any internals from my office who got the job, a couple of people got waiting list at best. It's a shame, and quite weird.
I was actually in the process of appealling/questioning the recruitment process before I knew if I was successful or not due to some things that happened on interview day that I won't go into on here as it wouldn't be very professional....I just wonder now if I should go ahead and put in a full appeal.
No news yet on Durham and Tees but I imagine I was unsuccessful for that one too. What a bummer haha.0 -

Well another day goes by, and nothing from Thames Valley yet, and I know they are ready to be posted.
Maybe just a tally. What areas as of this moment, have not been posted, it would be interesting. I have not seen anything for Essex, Devon and Cornwall or Worc/Here/etc.
Any others????0 -
