Sorry sam, the region is on the email, you will have to get the campaign number off the CS site. I just copied and pasted it.

cheers for that. im just going to copy and paster 'Vacancy: 1228133 - Executive Officer/Band C South London
' into it. i think thats what there after.

Is anyone else worried about them contacting your current employer for a reference?? i put my boss as my reference but obviosuly he has no idea im applying for a new job yet and im worried where its going to leave me if they contact him, then for whatever reason theres a problem and i dont get the job, where that leaves me with my current employer. Especially with the nasty bunch of !!!!! i currently work for, hence why im leaving.

Sam - I'm not sure how correct this is so I apologise if I'm wrong but I believe someone on here said the references are more to check employment if they can't verify your details with HMRC. That would make sense in a way as some friends who are in the civil service (but not DWP/JCP) haven't been asked for references. I'm in the same position as you with my boss, but thankfully one of my lovely colleagues has been given a promotion and is now in charge of the rest of us (not that it means much considering there's only 4 people in the office excluding the boss) so he's my line manager and can give my reference.

Oh well 'Looks like the fat lady has just sung' After approx 13 weeks of my life has been wrapped up in a job application I can finally move on with my life:D

I am on the reserve list!!!! I wont be holding my breath as it seems like you needed 37/38 to get an offer for S E Wales & my 33 is probably way down the pecking order:cool:

I wish all successful applicants all the very best in their new positions and hope the job meets up to expectations.

Its goodbye from me, time to move on, all the very best, its been a blast:p
PS Well done the Welsh Crew who made it through.x

If SWW offer me Pontypridd and SEW offer me something a little too easterly like Newport/Cwmbran then I will be going for SWW don't worry ;)

Was your application for a Welsh speaking position? If so, declining the SEW offer won't affect us as my partner doesn't speak Welsh! :/ Thank you for the thought though, and good luck in getting your preferred office :)

Just putting the feelers out on this.. I know of someone who has accepted their provisional offer but can't start for 6 months due to maternity (and when they do start, they want to go part-time). At no point during the application process were questions asked that uncovered this, and i'm wondering if the candidate will have their provisional offer withdrawn when JCP realise they're not available to start the role now, or whether they will still be taken on for fairness and equality reasons?

Also, has anyone had any success in finding out where they are on the reserve list? I've still got my fingers tightly crossed for my partner who acehived 36 in SEW, as I'm aware that people who achieved 37 have received provisional offers. Would love to know how far down the reserve list she is, but waiting to see if anyone actually has any success in getting this kind of info?

ok thanks for that. hopefully they wont need to contact them at all as i have been there, and at the same address, for the last 5 years so hopefully HMC have all the info they need. Well see i suppose

I was wondering what they do about locations? Using my position as an example - Say someone only wants part time but in Cardiff and they're higher up than me, woud they get given a Cardiff job even if that office has tons of part-timers and needs full-timers or would I get offered it over them? Or, another thought, if all the Cardiff positions go to people higher in the list, woud they then try to get me a location close to Cardiff or shove me any old where eg Abergavenny?
I know none of us can probably answer these questions, but just my musings on the next long wait. Fingers crossed we all get our preferred locations or as close to them as possible.x.x.x

Katchoon - I would think it was unfair if the person who can't start for 6 months was given a job over someone who can start within a four week notice period as the positions need to be filled ASAP. Obviously it's not fair on them as questions weren't asked to cover this but if it was me then either I wouldn't have applied knowing that I couldn't start ASAP (after all if this had been any other company they would have expected her to start by now and wouldn't 'hold' the job) or I would have spoken up at interview/asked the recruitment line. Maybe she did, again I'm just musing...

Thanks for info and wow what a great score u got pat on back. My new job starts mid june so got time to spend with my daughter before i start and get both my head togrther and start training . Must get fit as starting a Envo officer and dont want the first scrap yard dog to get a pice of me !! Beeing on a waiting list not a bad thing for mme as could meen if i do not like new job then could have a chance of a move . Like being outside so Evo Officer up my street

Yes I was delighted with my interview scores, thank you. I worked at JCP as a personal adviser until last year and I really enjoyed it so i'm looking forward to going back, I just hope the business can accommodate my preferred part time hours.

Perfect timing is mid June, gives you enough time to get sorted, and yes the reserve list may mean you receive an offer mid July in which you will know if you want to stay an Enviro Officer or not. Wish you well, keep us updated, this thread will probably be going until the end of the year ;)

I received my email from West Yorks at 3:15pm yesterday, provisional offer with score of 45.
I know Panno has received a provisional offer too but not sure what time her email came through, If I remember correctly her score was 41.
Emails could still be going out, so I wouldn't assume you have been unsuccessful until you receive an email.
When do you start the other job?
    Congrats Deejay :)
Hi Wizzy - I actually checked cs portal when I noticed Deejay had an offer - my heart was thumping! My score was 41. I have a friend who is on reserve list with 31. He received his email Yesterday.

So, naturally, I have accepted the offer from the black country :)

Still haven't heard a jot from B&S though... getting a tad concerned as folks on here seem to have had results from there....

Surely they'd have done them all on the same day?

Something I cant work out is how they allocate to people who have the same points. Say for example they get down to the 34's in Manchester (which is mine!). If there are 10 reserve jobs, and 30 people with 34's who gets it? Does it go off the initial test, the written application scores or good looks?
