That makes sense I suppose in covering any gaps in your career. I just talked about my degree in some of the competency questions...
I wonder how many people with degrees applied for this EO position and out of interest why did you not choose the fast stream thing?0 -
Looking back at my application, I've just realised that I never filled out a section for Qualifications.
So have I messed up here? It no reads 'qualifiactions' when I actually have a degree. Looks like I've messed this one up...
That's a default setting, if there was a qualification requirement for the job that's where it would be. All applications will read "no qualification" - it's talking for the job rather than the applicant.0 -
I don't really know if this is allowed but given the mess that has been made of sending out the Working Locations forms I'm going to do it anyway. This is the link to the North West form:

Bear in mind that the submission deadline has passed, but if they didn't send you the form on time they can hardly complain if you submit it late.
Thank you so much for this! I still haven't been sent the form so have used the document and link you attached. :A0 -

Fast Stream is highly competitive and over subscribed process takes about 9 months. IMO its a lot easier to get into it via the Internal Fast Stream Program.0 -
Hi, Found out today (I work at JC+) that 4000 vacancies throughout the country..............66000 applications! Good luck to all those applying.0

I applied to SE Wales0

I wonder how many people with degrees applied for this EO position and out of interest why did you not choose the fast stream thing?
The external fast stream success rate was 2.1% last year and thousands apply so I'm sure a good chunk of those who didn't make it have been keeping an eye out for civil service jobs and applied for the EO positions.
I am intending to apply for the external fast stream this year when they begin recruitment in November (even with those crazy odds:eek:) but if I got this job (please lord) then I'd be eligible for the internal fast stream next year which as DrWho2011 says, is much less competitive. 37.5% of applicants put forward were successful last year, MUCH better odds for me if I'm not successful in the external competition. And only of course if I get this job (PLEASE LORD)...:cool:0 -

I wonder how many of those 66000 applications were from a. duplicate apps from people trying to cheat the test and b. the same person applying for several districts.0 -
Seems an awful lot of applications to get through, we may have a long wait.
Btw if you are interested in part time, when does that get raised? Does anyone know if Dwp offer term time only contracts?
Many thanks0
