My OH phoned them last week and they confirmed won't hear anything until after Easter as last interview date is 04/04 for all the UK
I think this is right as this date been confirmed by other posters as well0 -
It's strange how this year so far has gone really quickly, even with me being out of work. But the last couple of weeks have dragged on. Another 2+ weeks before we hear anything seems like forever right now!0

...or the 5th as quoted above.
Seems the helpline are still guessing. We may all be in line for a nice Christmas present at this rate...or a visit from Scrooge!0 -
I probably need advice from any current JCP staff to answer this question so if there are any of you out there please consider replying if you know the answer.
Say, for argument's sake, that I get offered a position who would I ask in order to get a figure for my likely take-home monthly pay from the job? It's important to me as I'm in a job at the moment and wuld need to put another car on the road to get to the new job (with all the costs that come with that!). Would I contact the recruitment line if I get an offer or is there somewhere else I can contact? Just trying to think ahead a bit.

Your take home will be roughly £1400 (if you are single, have no student loan and don't pay into one of the pension schemes). The starting salary is £21,320 so you can go on a salary calculator and look at the figures on there.£2012 in 2012 - £13810

Depends if he is applying for a London based position.
Starting salary is then £24k.....give or take a few pounds0 -
True, sorry, I forgot about the London salaries.
Incidentally it's very quiet in here today, has everyone given up or are you just all enjoying the sunshine too much? I'm stuck at work all alone so keep checking here every few minutes just to see if there's been any change.£2012 in 2012 - £13810 -
Thanks for the tip. I did use a salary calculator and came up with that figure but I wanted to ask them about how much pension contributions will be. I was on the 'classic' pension scheme for nine years in my previous stint at JCP. Just thought that maybe a current staff member on the same scale would know. I'm working to tight budget so every penny counts! By the way, I would be working outside London. In deep...0
