Just logged on (well about 2 hours ago!) after being away from the forum for 10 days due to a family crisis.

Well done to KeyserSoze888, thunderplex, edtasonic and cake_baker on your excellent scores for NW and good to read that the interviewers were lovely.

My interview's at the end of the process (supposedly so I could give myself plenty of time to prepare and less time to worry about how I'd done) but I'm starting to get really worried now after seeing your brilliant scores! I've never had a competency based interview before and I always get very, very nervous before and during interviews.

Thanks for that! Don't worry too much about other peoples scores, it's how you do that counts. The interviewers will get the best out of you.

Think of it this way, whatever your online scores were, that was when you could only use 200 words. Your interview allows you to elabourate so much more on what you put, so you are bound to do even better.

I'd never had a compenency based interview either, and I am terrible with nearves at interview, but I got through it, so you can too!

Here's the deal, if we end up in the same office, you can buy my snacks for a week ;)

    hi all,

quick update for you all, my friend who applied for east london district got his scores this morning. 33354. really gutted for him.

i cant believe he got those scores, his examples were really strong, and he had the added benefit of working there before.

anyway, i just thought i would share seeing as loads of ppl are asking about east london.

on my side, south london, i got 76787 a while ago now 35/45. i hope thats enough, still not heard anything yet tho.

    mine was tough as well.
There were 2 women on the panel, both very friendly which helped me to relax and I thought I was doing ok until they asked the 'values' question. I struggled terribly with that question, but they didn't ask me any follow-up questions which made me wonder whether they were even interested in me or that I had said enough.
I wasn't rushed through as some people have said, the hour went so quick.
I have been waiting for my feedback since then, I know some people got there's back really quickly. The interviewers did actually say it would take 2 weeks.

Would you like to share your scores at all ?

I received 67776. I was quite happy when I first saw them as I believed I was going tO get all 3's due to how I felt the interview went. I completely wasn't with it at all that day but I tried my best... I changed my competences on the day and had no notes... So really I should expected it to be rubbish as I didn't prepare enough.
Now after hearing everyone's fab scores I don't think there at all good enough for an offer :-(

hi, don't worry, the interviewers will put you at ease. I used to interview in my old job and found that those that brought additional things with them such as testimonials etc stood out, so there is no harm in you doing so. The Qs are quite specific but related to the competency, I had something (it's all such a blur now lol) around treating people fairly, providing a service adapting to my customers' needs and motivating others to succeed, although these probably differ for each district. Hope all goes well for you :)

Thanks for your advice. feeling much reluxed now. wish me luck.
