Hi
i've seen in prevoius posts that you need work records such as p45's. is anyone is my Situation where you have no work records as you have been in full time education with only work experience. is this a problem?

No, they wont penalise you for that, but you need to take evidence that you are in Full Time Education. Certificates of qualifications, bursary awards etc....:D

I have been looking at this forum for a while now, and I have a question for those who have already been to interview. I understand that the interview is competancy based, but do you have to mention something that relates to each bullet point in the framework? I only ask as the questions some people have been asked seem to only relate to one part of the competancy (delivering a professional service is split into 4 and so on). Do we only have to meet each bullet point in the part of the compentancy on which we are questioned (for example, being asked about demonstrating job related knowledge in the professional service competancy), or do we have to somehow relate it to all the other sections as well?

Sorry if this doesnt make a lot of sense!

I think, the more bullet points you can match the better. Again, dont panic too much, the interviewers will ask you additional information if required :D

Hi ive got an interview for the North East region this week. My Percentile was 51% and although i have been invitied to interview I have not received any feedback regarding my competencies is anyone else in the same position?
I have an interview this week but still no feedback on competencies.
Also in the documents i have not got the CRB check only the CRB Disclosure to sign and the CRB cover letter. Is the interview just going to be based purely on the competencies rather than questions like "Tell me about yourself", "Where do you see yourself in five years time" and having to know information about DWP as a whole? Would appreciate some help thanks :)
I am glad you asked as I spent ages checking all the documents available online and the attachments with the interview email, I cannot find anything with parts A,B,C or D mentioned in the letter. I have a Disclosure Scotland form (20318) and a CRB declaration (20314), my advisor at JCP said complete both, they use both as the Scottish one gets cleared more quickly. He also said use examples from my experience, I will not be expected to know details about the DWP only general knowledge of the employment market.

Cheers vindallou, I'l just make sure I can work them into my examples then, or prepare a few seperate part-examples to use if I have to

that's exactly what I did , tried to put as many key words from each competency in my answers at interview.
No feedback yet though

Be clever..... when they ask if you have any questions. Ask them if you met majority of 'Building a professional Service' advise them there was alot of bullet points and if theres anything you can elaborate on or give a different example. Again, if you ask this kind of question, be prepared with another example just in case :)

No offence but are some people stirring crap around and making things more complicated in this forum or is the DWP really failing on instructions?

Clearly in the Interview information says:

The assessor will award marks for those activities that meet the broad descriptors of each competency. You do not have to describe activities which meet each and every one of the bullet points under the descriptors.

So who is trolling the public forum or the DWP?

Edit:

Just had my interview... as I sat down a big dragon head sprouted out of the ground and knocked the table over, I managed to jump back and avoid the devastating knockback. Just as the dragon breathed out fire at me I barrel rolled to the right side, as I did that I hit a trap panel on the floor and arrows came flying at me from a hidden spot, Luckily I managed to use the chair to block them off!

The Interviewers said I did well to pass the first stage but asked me if I was prepared for each and every one of the bullet points of the whole competency guide with an evil laughter…

Meh. I think I did OK waiting for feedback...
