DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

No competency feedback for E. London. This is clearly something I/people would like before interview. Is such feedback not an entitlement?0

based on thisWell I'm home. I don't think I did atall well but we'll see. I was with two other applicants, we went in a room together for our docs to be copied and them we were taken to our seperate interviews. I had three interviewers and they stuck to the competencies. It was exactly how vwgirl kindly explained and lasted around 40 mins. My throat went dry andd I duplicated. Time to sit back and wait now, good luck to everybody else, but rest assured there were no surprises and NO further tests.
and thisIf I remember correctly, when I booked my interview there were 12 slots per day (including Saturday) from the 2nd to the 19th which means 180 slots available. If they sent the invite email to more than 180 people (in error) those slots might have been booked already. It doesn't mean you won't get one just that this recruitment process has been really messed up from the beginning.
One other thing: apparently the East London applications were sifted based solely on the Online Test. My score was 76%. If yours was above or in the vicinity of that I wouldn't worry too much.
3 applicants per slot means 540 slots, no?0 -
I too have contacted PCS. Received wildly different scores for the same examples (4 points difference in some of them). The entire thing feels like it's been run by Sid James and Hattie Jacques. Carry on Jobcentre.0

Bear in mind that you will be marked out of 9 for each comp in the interview too so it isn't really an advantage to get through to interview on test alone as they will be in the dark about how 'good' their comps are.
Totally understand the frustration about different markings though, that just shouldn't be happening.0 -
Right, here's a question then. My examples were all marked as good/strong by one region, but my home region marked me as 3's and 4's which supposedly means I'm out of the running. However, I aslo applied for East London and scored way over their pass mark in the online test. Does this mean that I will still be interviewed for that position, seeing as they have not marked any competencies? Hmmm.....0

Looks like I am out of the running. Received rejection email this afternoon from B & S. I was marked 1 across all comps by B & S last week, with no feedback. I suspect that, they did not even bother reading through the comps. I did ring the help line last week and was assured not worry because there were no comments made on the scores and that my local area would mark the comps. In my opinion, this whole excercise has been mismanaged.0

What did your home region mark?
I got 1s for B&S but already had marks in for BC: I have, as yet, received no e-mail from either location.
Shouldn't have got a rejection if you're still on for interview at home, I don't think, as you could still get posted to B&S..0 -

No one knows, I think is the honest answer to that one.0 -
;51388469]Yea I follow that much. It just seems to me that they wont require 4+ at interview otherwise they will end up with less than 50 candidates. Well perhaps.
Who knows, I agree it just seems so strange to invite 150 people to interviews without even reading their applications. High risk and bit random to say the least! :cool:0 -
I still haven't heard anything from the Manchester region..... It has been over a month now!! The status is still "waiting to be reviewed"
I have a telephone interview for o2 and I'm hopeful I will get a job with them!0
