;51388103]How will this apply to E. London where invites to interview have been based on the situational test alone? Will people scoring 3 fail the interview proper? I find this questionable. Will you get 50 people scoring all 4s/5s in a batch of 180 people who competencies haven't been checked prior to interview and might be ****.
You should be classed as already having passed the previous stages so it will all hang on the scores you get for your competencies at interview.0 -
Yep! I got 7, 7, 7, 7, 3 for Lancashire and didn't get through for Interview
Oh so it is not 'out of 5'? For that matter what is the most you can get on the scale?
If you don't mind do you have any theories why one answer only merited a 3 whenever you were able to achieve consistent 7s with all other examples? Must say that is an unfortunate outcome.0 -
I don't know how it works for external applicants......to be honest I have no idea what you are all talking about in regards to percentages/centiles, etc. I applied internally and because I scored a 3 on one of my competencies then I was sifted out.
I'm really unhappy about my scores, I've got mounds of experience as a temporary EO, have received numerous bonus awards and have been given a "wholly exceptional" in the past on my end of year marking. My competency examples were very strong, as strong as colleagues who scored higher than me. I really believe the whole process to be flawed and have considered taking things further by building a case for mismanagement.0 -
It's out of 90

The competencies are scored out of 9.
The one I received a 3 for was more generalized than the others.
Having said that I have since had the same competency marked at 4 and 6 in other areas that I applied for.0 -

Yea I follow that much. It just seems to me that they wont require 4+ at interview otherwise they will end up with less than 50 candidates. Well perhaps.0 -
But remember that there are no means definite jobs at the end of all this. Basically, you're applying to be put in a list for a prospective post.......and your name will remain on that list for 6 months. If no "actual" job comes up during that time then your name will be taken off the list (unless they extend the list) so it makes no odds if they end up with less than 50 candidates0

Well that is something. I do feel sorry for you though. A HR person who evaluates 77773 whenever others would grade 77776 really has to be called into question.0 -

Fair enough.
Now that I know the maximum mark is 9 I'm not so baffled about the fact that 3= fail.0 -

There is plenty of evidence on this forum to proove mismanagement.0
