DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

Indeed. Unlucky, but don't kick yourself in the teeth over it - with 60,000 applicants for 4,000 jobs we're all playing Fifteen to One!
Angelina: have you checked under 'feedback' in your CS page? That's where the comps scores will be, and you won't be notified by email about them. If you haven't been scored yet, just hang in there as the policy seems to be 'no news is good news', and 'bad news travels fast'.
General info: if you feel someone is trolling, press the 'report' tag and complain to the moderator.0 -
Another day... still nothing from BC.

I keep checking under feedback and it is just showing my test result - I am trying to space out checking as was logging in what seemed like every hour now down to 3 times a day - would love a result one way or another now though0 -
Just got my rejection email. Not a total surprise.
I've been very grateful for everyone's posts, though - they've helped to buffer how down I was feeling when I was preparing myself for failure.
Many of the people who did get interviews on this board seem like lovely people and I wish you all much success with the posts, as you warmly deserve it. Best wishes, guys. xxx0 -

Sorry to hear that mate... still, onwards and upwards0 -
Because the interview is supposed to be conducted in the same way for everyone. By policy, they would only mark the 5 competencies (the examples you give them) and any question outside those is either as an opener or to test your communication skills.
Thank you - I got the wrong end of the stick & thought you were saying that kind of question shouldn't be asked at any interview, rather than either everyone at these DWP interviews gets asked this question, or everyone doesn't!
I'm just starting to get in to this interview malarkey (after many years self employed) & am in a bit of a flap about an interview tomorrow, so my brain isn't really in gear yet. But I did only have to wait 7 working days to hear I'd got an interview, unlike you lot on here (although this company aren't recruiting on the same scale!).
FWIW - after some experience of using JC+, the vast majority of you seem far more competent, nicer & more coherent than most of the staff I've spoken to! Good luck to you all.And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...0 -

At 21 you may not understand what kind of stress people are under on this particular thread but pls refrain from silly comments.
A lot of things may depend on people on here getting this job, their whole lives may change, they may have a lot of commitments - both financial and family wise so.... no need for being silly.
Mountain out of a molehill if I've ever seen one. I put a wink in my original post so it was obvious I was talking in jest. Having such a cataclysmically serious attitude to everything is far more damaging in the long run.0 -

'I am among the tens of thousands who have applied as part of the DWP (jobcentreplus) recruitment process 2012 so I'll understand if you cannot deal with this or if there's a delay in doing so. Briefly, I have applied for the following (and the status on the Civil Service jobs website as shown at time of writing):
Vacancy: 1228115 - Executive Officer/Band C Black Country (situation test complete, application awaiting review)
Vacancy: 1228116 - Executive Officer/Band C Coventry, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire (on hold, application awaiting review)
Vacancy: 1228100 - Executive Officer/Band C Birmingham and Solihull (situation test complete, application awaiting review).
However, on Birmingham and Solihull - which is my 'home' district so they are doing the marking for all three areas I presume - sift feedback is still
"Your application is awaiting review" but under interview feedback I have been given competency scores of 3 on each competency with the comment "Very few positive behaviours". Except for 'operational delivery - delivering a professional service comment' and 'overall rating' which are blank.
(1) How can I be scored on an interview that I have never been notified of or attended?
(2) As a previous FTA for JCP, the competencies I submitted were used to secure a six-month extension which nded only a few months ago and were marked by managers at district headquarters who I had no contact with or knowledge of. They scored them 8 on each. How can those now be 3s?
Or is it just that they really haven't been looked at properly, if at all, and whoever's decided on them has resorted to cut and paste???
I await with anticipation the formal email which notifies me that I have been unsuccesful on this occasion etc..
In the meantime I suggest someone (senior) at DWP takes a long, hard and detailed look at the postings on the money saving expert website (forum under the heading 'DWP recruiting again 2012') to see what an utter mess this recruitment exercise has become.
Thank you.'
Sorry about the result, I do hope you'll get something much much better soon. Please PM me the e-mail address where you sent your comments. I'm unable to get any info. out of my lot:(0 -
If anyone has the email address for where to send complaints about this recruitment process could they please post it on this thread or PM it to me.
I have tried phoning and gave up after holding on for too long - they must be inundated with queries - I want to go on the warpath !!!0
