OOOH! Yes please, did you refer to notes or rely on memory? Did they have any surprises up there sleeves? Did they give any indication as to how well you did? And were there two or three on the panel? That's all I think, thankyou.

And thanks to those sending good luck vibes. Much appreciated x

No i had too much to remember lol so took my competencies with me and the frame work to refer too they give u as much time as you need and dont rush you. They had no surprises and questions directly related to the competencies. There was a panel of two and no, no indication whatsoever but I have applied and passed 5 times previously- they have never changed the interview process and never have given any feedback there and then :( x

Hi everyone had my interview yesterday and have checked review application today and it says this :

Applicant Status: Scheduled for 1st interview
You are now scheduled to attend the next selection event.

Please make sure that you are available at least twenty minutes before your scheduled slot.

Does anyone know what this means?

Or when I can expect to know if I have passed interview?

    Thanks x

You won't find out until all interviews have been done.
You'll get a phone call if you have the job or an e-mail to say that you haven't and that is when the interview feedback will be posted.
    Good luck.

Your contract will say that you are required to work until 8pm, but JCP is only open till 5pm. There is a requirement in some JCP offices to do interviews at 8.30 so that is the earliest you will be required to start. No weekend work either unless it's overtime. Again they may just pop it into the contract to say that you are required to work on Saturdays should the business need require it, but I doubt that's ever gonna happen. The most your shift pattern would change would be by 30 mins. If you do end up staying longer or coming earlier you just build up your flexi hours and take a day or afternoon off when it suits you. It's one of the best working patterns you'll get.

Thanks for the prompt reply Arsh. The customer service on this forum is second to none! :D I do have some flexibility, but that has put my mind at rest re childcare. Anyway, got to get through this mission first!

Childcare could easily be sorted with a shift alteration if necessary that they're legally obliged to do (if necessary) following your training. Easier if you're in a contact centre where the shift patterns are 8-8, usually one late night a week and one saturday in 8 (where I am, anyway) I work for the govt (not DWP) and that's one area where there's very little room for improvement :)

I think it went ok but cant tell really - no they didnt have copies of app form so I used same competencies for the sift but ellaborated on these a bit more (I phoned HR and they confirmed this was ok)

Any questions feel free to ask :)
    x

hey vw girl, thanks for the info. how many questions were there altogether? was it just literally the comp questions off your app form? The didn't ask anything probing stuff like why DWP? why should we employ you? tell me about yourself? etc etc...:) x

I am sure you should get an invite soon with 90+. Still unable to comprehend the method to their madness. However, based on what has happened so far with E Lon, there is no reason why you should not get an invite. Good luck.

It's the weekend, so I'll be patient. It's not looking good though.. 180 slots and seems around 10% have been filled by people on this forum and their friends already.

NO they never ask anything like that it literally is:

Hi my name is ...... this is ....... nice to meet you.
This interview will take around 45 minutes. We will take it in turns to speak and the other record your answers. It is a competency based interview where will ask for some examples of specific scenarios. There is water available and you can use notes to refer to if you have any.

They ask you 5 questions and then if any more info is needed will ask extra questions such as -can you tell us how you measured this or how did you reward your team for meeting performance.

At the end they ask if you have any questions.

    Hope this helps :) x

    * Also they dont have copies of app forms so have no idea what was written or anything about you eg previous employment etc.

thank you so much for that :) got my interview Friday, sooooo nervous I am going to be working on my competencies all week now lol
