  • West Yorkshire have sent me an invitation to interview. I wasn't expecting to hear anything on a Sunday so it was a pleasant surprise when I logged into my hotmail. :j
Congratulations to those who have also received invites!

Right, interview in the AM. If I'm not ready now, I never will be.To be honest I'm having kittens here.

As the process has been smooth for me so far, I'm fully prepared to arrive and be told it's all a huge mistake!

I'm trying to reduce competence notes down to tiny bullet points to fit on one sheet of paper that will prompt me if I lose my train of thought.

See you on the flip side, I feel like the guinea pig! Should be home for 1ish if I allow an hour (my interview invite has NO time estimate, but as it's 15 mins past the hour I'm assuming 45.

Good Luck!!!!! You're lucky in way to get it over as there is only so much prep you can do. You will probably be surprised how much better you feel after it gets started. :D

Hi everyone had my interview yesterday and have checked review application today and it says this :

Applicant Status: Scheduled for 1st interview
You are now scheduled to attend the next selection event.

Please make sure that you are available at least twenty minutes before your scheduled slot.

Does anyone know what this means?

Or when I can expect to know if I have passed interview?

    Thanks x

Hey how did your interview go? Did they have copies of the application form, I have one on Wednesday and I am so nervous!! Any advice would really be appreciated

P.S they normally take about 2-3 weeks to get back to you.. :T:T

East London - 50 vacancies (according to advert)

    180 interview slots.

    3.6 applicants per post.

    2 interview panels

    Good luck everyone

If I am not at work on my selected slot yet (waiting for CRB/OH/References and then the start date) I may actually attend the interview I have booked with DWP... just to see.

I scheduled mine for mid March.
Good luck to everyone attending interviews this coming week - fingers crossed you all get this job if you really want it :)

I got 90+ and no invite for me to east london (yet?). so that line that was drawn must be very jagged

I am sure you should get an invite soon with 90+. Still unable to comprehend the method to their madness. However, based on what has happened so far with E Lon, there is no reason why you should not get an invite. Good luck.

Hope you hear soon. Did you have to take any more tests?
  • I have a question about the work patterns you have to do in JCs. (If I ever got that far, which I doubt!) In the blurb it implied you had to be flexible and I was wondering if work patterns would change each week like shifts.

OOOH! Yes please, did you refer to notes or rely on memory? Did they have any surprises up there sleeves? Did they give any indication as to how well you did? And were there two or three on the panel? That's all I think, thankyou.

And thanks to those sending good luck vibes. Much appreciated x

Your contract will say that you are required to work until 8pm, but JCP is only open till 5pm. There is a requirement in some JCP offices to do interviews at 8.30 so that is the earliest you will be required to start. No weekend work either unless it's overtime. Again they may just pop it into the contract to say that you are required to work on Saturdays should the business need require it, but I doubt that's ever gonna happen. The most your shift pattern would change would be by 30 mins. If you do end up staying longer or coming earlier you just build up your flexi hours and take a day or afternoon off when it suits you. It's one of the best working patterns you'll get.
