DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

Hi,
If anyone has the email address to ask for feedback on competency scores for West Yorkshire I would be grateful to receive this via PM. I narrowly missed out on the Government Procurement Management Scheme in December (4th when there were 3 vacancies nationally) and was advised that DWP would be recruiting at the turn of the year.
I used similar competencies from my procurement application but have received 5 x4’s, which is puzzling me considering my feedback from my assessment centre in December.
Rant over
Thanks0 -
How old are most of you guys who applied for this? I am a 21 year old graduate not long out of university, beginning to think I never had the slightest of chances. :rotfl:0

Hey guys had feedback this morning from Staffs/Shrop - my home postcode area and they all 4's!!! the feedback states acceptable but too process orientated. And quite frankly I am annoyed.
I applied for another CS job in the North West and used exactly the same competencies for the same framework less than 6 months ago and got 3-8's and 2-7's - there cannot be that much discrepancy in the marking!!
Did someone say there was an email address where you could dispute your scores??
Thank you0 -

Gaining extra qualifications or helping others to get them, again by say setting up and/or running a first aid training course or picking up CIPD qualifications could be used in competencies to show developing capability. If you were a police special or territorial army soldier/officer you could use that for skills.
I had an interview today where I was asked to give examples to show I had dealt with conflict resolution so I used examples of dealing with drunks and drug addicts while working part time at a store and an example of calming some friends down while at uni who were almost about to get into a fight with a group of bouncers. According to the interviewer today I came across as a strong candidate based on those kinds of examples, provided vetting goes fine I have a temp job with them after training...
Just because the job description says building capability doesn't mean the only place you can develop that kind of experience is in a job, as I've alluded to above.
It was a mistake on my behalf to use all work comps as this is what I thought they were looking for. I have good ones I could have use based on stuff I do outside work but the way I read it i took diversity to be how we deal with it workwise not to use diverse competancies.0 -
Still nothing for Durham Tees Valley does this mean I should admit its over??0

All of mine were work based too as in the past we were told they marked higher. I know no one in dwp as yet who has hot the comps they need for an interview. Had I known some should have been based on other parts of my life I would have writen them differently. The spec did say they should be related to the job description. Me telling the kids how to put shopping in a basket and praising them for it was obviously the way to go.
Mine were also all work based ones, from when I was an EO!!0 -
Checked staffs/shrops nothing yet. Not that I am hopeing for much anyway just want to see what they have put0

For me the penny has droped this morning. I think staff have been set up to fail because how we would look at diversity in the department is totally different to the way we would have looked at it from outside. For example I would have writen diverse comps had I not already been working for dwp but instead looked at how I deal with diversity at work if that makes sense. It should do to anyone on here who is in the dept.0
