has anyone from the london area got their competencies scores yet?
thanks0 -
been on hold for 17 mins trying to get through to the recruitment line...
Got through at last!!
lady on the phone said they are HOPING to be finished the scoring over the weekend and will send out e-mails for interviews or rejections WC 20th of FEB, she also said that only internal people had been invited for interview so far and that no external candidates will have been e-mailed about it yet!!
Confused.com
I am getting confused also..
When you mean "they" does that mean the sifting is all done centrally in this Sheffield office? Who are "they"? Because other posts imply that sifting is done individually by district?0 -

which london district?0 -
@ greenberet1990
FYI
This was posted by drwho2011 yesterday:
London District
Thought I'd give an update for others who may have applied for London districts.
I'm not sure if this applies to all of them but I have a friend who's made some enquiries internally for me.
Basically they will make a decision by the end of next week who is being called in for interview, I've been told they won't be sifting based on the competencies due to the sheer number and time constraints.
Instead it will be based on your test and the panel will have your competencies available during the interview but will also want additional examples.
Bear in districts have autonomy so it may vary with the others.

If you really are unhappy with the way the process has been managed I would suggest complaining to your local MP, if you complain via the email link they are providing nothing will get done. It will take a few minutes to complain through your MP, a lot less time than it has taken you to write your competencies.
Thanks, Archibald1. I am completely wet behind the ears regarding that sort of thing. How would I go about it - send the MP my original letter and ask him to escalate it to a Minister (say, Iain Duncan Smith) for instance?
Also, the Civil Service Commission's role appears to be about ensuring fairness and transparency in recruitment. Has anyone ever tried to contact them for resolution?0 -
I wonder if thats any of them which of had feedback scores but no comments?
I'm going to try my utmost not to check and check again over the weekend and I'll check once Monday morning then again when I get home.
Mommarat, I actually can't believe your scores, you were so helpful giving me feedback, you really seemed like you knew what they were looking for. Something smells very fishy here.
Thanks. I still find it difficult to understand how I can work at the Jcp on face to face for the last 3 years half as an EO when those scores make it look like I would have difficulty opening the door to the office. Lol0 -

Hi All...another newbie here...but like many others I have followed the thread and it's been nice to know I haven't been the only one who has been frustrated with the waiting - there have been some humourous comments and it really has helped lighten my mood.
I applied to all 4 London districts....and still heard nothing back
An earlier poster mentioned that London applications will not be sifted using competencies, but I know someone who works in a London office, and last week, staff were doing w/e overtime marking comps...
Am pretty sure we should be hearing back next week...I used to work for DWP and like many others have already noted...there is no one rule or guideline which is followed, it varies office to office, district to district...something I very much doubt will change in the near future.
I really wish everyone the best of luck....and well done Markymark! (if you still visit the thread that is....wasn't very nice how you were being treated on this thread, but there is always a minority who spoil it for others

I'm waiting to find out what my colleagues have got as well. Did anyone else in your office apply? When will you find out how they have done? Will you be annoyed as I will be if some berks have got through and you haven't?

Hi, I'm new and have been reading the posts for a few weeks.
I currently work as an AO in Notts but have been an EO on a fixed term contract that ended last year.
I applied to Derby, Nottingham and Leicester. Haven't heard anything back yet for any of them but the Derby one has been on hold for about a week.
I spoke with my office manager today and she said there was an error with some earlier applications that had been marked - and staff couldn't put them on the system. They have to be entered clerically (during overtime tomorrow) and the results should be on by tomorrow evening. Think that's only for Notts district though.
Hope this helps.
Snap, in that I have applied for the same districts... My Derby one has also been on hold for a week, and the same as you for the others...
I was an FTA EO until May last year.
Heres to hearing something soon, I don't enjoy my current job, but at least its a job, but only temporary..
