Despite the fact that I scored 96 percentile (22/24, 252/336) and 4,5,6,6,6 I can't help thinking that they're letting me down gently :(

Has anyone else had similar feedback from Manchester (or anywhere else)?

Yeah, I applied to Manchester. I got 99 percentile and 6, 6, 4, 5, 5. Very similar scores then. I'm not sure if I'll go to the interview (if offered) as I've been offered another job closer to what I want to do.
  • Got my comp scores back and am out of the running. Hardly surprising given I didn't use STAR. But good luck to the rest of you - to be honest have found applying for the dwp so frustrating I won't be trying again. Would rather apply and have the instructions I must read provided when I fill the darn app out.

    Just had to vent, sorry.

Sorry to hear that SpiralGalaxy :(

If you call up the recruitment line they give you an email address in case you wish to email suggestions/ feedback etc. Perhaps I can pm it to you.....

I'm nowhere near 20, I'm afraid. :) I've got other things lined up, though.

I really wanted this job to do something constructive with my life. Perhaps I'll try again in future, now I know what's expected of me - and don't mind biting my nails for a month. :rotfl:

    Mommarat,

It was for Birmingham and Solihull - scores, in order, were:

    1,3,1,3,3.

you think that is bad I had 5 x1 have done the job before and my line manager told me they were good examples. I have no comments under the scores and no overall score. I followed STAR. I am waiting to see what the my other scores are like before complaining

Good grief - that is just illogical. I'm wondering if they are now rushing to get these done and are just failing people willy nilly without even looking at the competencies!!! This entire process seems to be fatally flawed and not one that is sure of getting the DWP the right people for the job!!!

I am not looking forwards to my additional scores from Staffs/Shrops and Black Country. And even though my scores for B'ham are OK not sure I want to work there as the commute would be a bit much.

The process can hardly be that useful in determining fitness for the role if people who are doing/have done the role are being excluded. That's just officious to the point of being useless.

I just got my invite for Merseyside with a 6,6,5,5,4. Have no scores for North West and Glasgow, and East Scotland gave me 8,5,4,4,4 but no invite or rejection yet.
