    It'll turn up :)

Honestly, in an office of about 200, about 100 staff applied: 3 people have had flat "no thankyou"s, and 2 of us feedback. That's, as far as I know, everything. (And I make it my business to know these things lol ;) )

Expect they'll pull their fingers out this week. Over 30000 applications nationally, apparently.

There are only a hundred positions, no? Do they prefer to recruit internally? Then I'm up a creek it wouldn't be ladylike to describe on a public forum, methinks. :)

I might as well laugh at my impending doom. It's character building. But thanks for telling me that; I appreciate it. :)

I actually think mark is being helpful and if you read his previous post he did say he didn't want to look big headed .....as such is life when someone's doing well a lot of people inside think "bas**** why can't that be me lol" fair play to him I say

Not really, he did say to me he would understand that I wouldn't want to post my competencies, in a rather sneering manner. For the record, I did get a (nice) FM to look over mine today by PM, so I am interested in feedback, just not from Smart Alecs.:)

Lol I can't believe it... I went to bed last night thinking right the results are out today.... Then made a silly prediction of 2 o clock..... This is worse than waiting for module results at uni

LOL, I was thinking that this evening! This is longer than it took for my uni to tell me which class of degree I'd wound up with! Crumbs!
  • I just had another thought..... Do you think I/we might have submitted the work forms wrong so they haven't got back to us?...

A sneering manner?! I said I wouldn't want to either! Because I don't particularly want people to know who I am.

Jesus Christ. I offer to help and and I get called a liar and 'sneering'.

100 positions per location, but I'm an existing civil servant, not DWP.

It was a full external application process, they only know we're civil servants as it affects things like salaries and leave allocation if we were to be successful... (ie, someone in my office on a level transfer would be paid more than the advertised starting salary).

No preference, as far as I know, towards internal candidates: if there was, I would have been able to apply for it before you did as internal/secondment, but I couldn't, so I have to assume that they're looking at all applications on merit :)

So 10o folks in my office have applied, but so have loads in the office over the road, loads of external candidates, the world, and his wife I would assume.

You've got just as much of a shot as anyone else :)

This thread has been running for ages, people supporting each other and a bit of banter, you didn't feel compelled to join in before. You're then telling people you'll look at their comps for them and tell them where they're going wrong!! your either a troll or an arogant SOAB!!! :rotfl:

Yeah how awful of me to offer to help! I googled it today when I got my result and found this thread.

And I'm a son on a b*tch am I? You sound perfect for a customer facing job. I don't know your score but from your bitter posts I guess you failed The job seeking public have dodged a bullet.

No duckie I haven't failed, not had my results back yet. I'll be sure to share the news when I do though.

Can you honestly not see how you're coming across?
I think out of you and me I know who I'd rather have as an advisor, you're priceless :rotfl:

You're not related to this chap are you? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txp19ZNtFn8
  • I think the reason mark said that you would not want to post your competencies so not to reveal any personal info about yourself as oppose to you maybe having a low score.... Problem is online its sometimes hard to pick up the vibe of a person but in this instance its pretty clear to me lol
