so thats how different each provider is and how will that help anyone? Not that what they make me do will help me but look how different it is. Where is the consistancy, eh

well I did what they told me as they sent me to another office who then trns back to the first one so I waited for the call like they said. I did nothing more, or less than what the professionals told me to do.

write a list of retail companies and search their website for office based admin work, keep a full list of all jobs I apply for that are direct with the employer.

Yeh, sorry, i've done that too.

Nope, just report back about my applications we discussed at the prior appointment. If i got a reply or not, if i did, what happened, that sort of thing.

What sort of tasks are you set?

This sounds a lot like what the JCP advisors do anyway. I'm sure your provider will start on more intensive stuff later on unless you both agree you're on the right track and it's just a matter of time before you get an interview.

Gonna hop on board the WP train next month, hehe.

Btw, new DWP vacancies are up (EO - permanent) on Civil Service website if anyone wants to apply.

lol not having a go, i'm happy for ya. Out of interest, why did they send you to another office? Wouldn't mind switching, is it possible to ask for a change?

they trasnfered me as they opened another office and cancelled my appointment for 9am when I turned up at 9am saying they never knew anything about the transfer till they got in that morning, hence me not seeing anyone after the assesment Anyway waited 10 days for the new office to call me and it wasn't easier to get to and there was a disagreement about the travel repayments to me so the bloke said he would trasnfer me back and thats when I got 'lost' in the system & never heard from them in 5 mths. He had got the sack so prob never tranfered me back. Shame he lost his job eh.

Thanks for that, I'm attempting to apply but the civil service site keeps kicking me out every time I try to move to the next page. I'll try again in the morning.

No problem, I'm in two minds over this myself. Having worked in a similar role before, my past experiences are making this application much harder to complete than the everyday one I fill out. The timeouts don't help either. =/

Been on the work programme since august and i have to say its truely awful, i dread my appointments and the homework just leaves me with no time to do anything else.

Also pray they don't arrange you a next step appointment as that will make things 10 times worse, all i want is a job not being fed this guff !
