A good advisor should talk to you about what jobs they want you to apply for though. They only get paid their full fee if you are still in the job in a years (I think) time, so them pushing you into something you can't do is a waste of everyones time.

its 2 years but mine aren't looking for jobs for me - are you saying yours are?

Nothing mentioned to me about job searches but maybe thats because I have provide full proof of all the jobs I have applied to for the last 6 mths and a list of the sites I use etc. I am open to anything that they can tell me that will help me but so far they haven't told me anything.

sounds a bit like my experience, except my advisor was able to get me on the IT course which has opened up a few extra possible job avenues for me.

I have shown the advisor the huge list of websites I use and the spreadsheet I keep all the jobs I have applied to, cvs I've sent off etc but it doesn't matter the supervised job search is mandatory for everyone on the WP I've been sent to.

You should (and if it is recent, do need to) complain to the JCP if you do not feel that the third party provider is failing to meet their responsibilities to you.

Or course they are as I was meant to be on appointment 6 now but this number 1 so 5 behind. They do not even seem to be bothered. Got the reply to the complaint on the 3rd Jan so yes recent. They didn't even do their part of the 1st part of the homework set where they were meant to call all the jobs I had applied to , to see if they could get me in to an interview. I had supplied a full list and nothing was done with it. This list is just ongoing.

Read the blogs ATOS A4E and DWP are trying to surpress because far from providing a condusive environment (along with full human rights for disabled etc that are conspiciously absent) and upward social mobility there is a lot of malcontents out there. Read and save useful posts of which there are many, do more than is required and be legal etc but adopt the craftiness of a Machievellian.

ah thats right, 2 years. No they aren't at the moment but in the "welcome pack" I was given when I first started it did say that sometime they have advance notice of jobs and can put you forward for them. How true that is I don't know.

It would be so nice if they were genuinely helpful and that things were done by the Government/s to give disabled and other groups full functioning and growing equality, proper help etc but I believe there are corporate blockers who are blocking anything that does not smack of young dynamic professional in their employ instead of real people.
( I read academic books and so accuse me of wanton extravagance but there are some things you cannot discover UNLESS you actually make a seasoned practice to read them!!!!!!!!!!)

I was told by the manager (who has now been sacked) on the day I first went that they and I quote 'work like a recruitment agency' - Said he goes from Essex to Reading and can get jobs at various companies and when they get jobs they try to match them to the people but thats not happening I guess since the staff have been sacked and new systems now in place.

And I might add people like us COULD GET FOR OURSELVES REAL FUTURES SUFFICENT TO BUY HOUSES, CAR PROVISION, EDUCATION ETC!!!!! It is consise and thats why it's so long - including a list of questions I wanted them to answer where they just fob me off. Its a list of all the events leading up to them telling me I have not been attending! Then I have their reply.

No but if they are found to not be doing what they should they can be fined
