no as they havent advised me to apply for anything yet. I have far too many on the list I emailed them they hadn't the time to even look at it.Does anyone else feel pressured into saying yes to jobs the WP advise you to apply for? I must admit i do, i feel if i say no, they'll feel i'm not genuinely looking for work, even though that's far from the case.0 -
Really? what happens at your appointments? All we do at my appointments is look for jobs.0

No job searching as I do that at home and eamil them a list up to the morning of when I go in to see them. Due to me not being seen in 5 mths they had 12 pages to look at (A4)Really? what happens at your appointments? All we do at my appointments is look for jobs.0 -

Got a computer myself, so it is a little annoying i still have to job search with my advisor.0 -
Not sure what you mean by homework, but what i generally do is, search for work with my advisor, find a couple of positions, then when i next see him, tell him what happened with each application. Thought it was the same with everyone, guess i was wrong!0

you are set tasks to do between appointments?0 -
my first homework was to complete 500 pages online for a Hospitality Module, write a list of retail companies and search their website for office based admin work, keep a full list of all jobs I apply for that are direct with the employer.
2nd homework - do an Excel refresher online that I did the same night in 3 hours online, redo my CV and email in & write a list of companies I want to work for and then again look on retail sites for admin jobs and list those, keep a list of all the agencies I contact or chase re applicatins and also the ongoing list of actaul jobs with direct empolyers. All this is on top of the job searches and other jobs I apply for on a daily basis which I keep a log of and show when I sign on.0 -
so thats how different each provider is and how will that help anyone? Not that what they make me do will help me but look how different it is. Where is the consistancy, ehNope, just report back about my applications we discussed at the prior appointment. If i got a reply or not, if i did, what happened, that sort of thing.
What sort of tasks are you set?0
