I use a Lexmark printer. It's very good at what it does but I have to agree with an earlier poster - it does tend to use a lot of ink.0

As thats how mine is connected, and mine works fine.
You mention a laptop as well. Have you installed the software as ethernet/wireless option on both machines?
Just to check on the wireless settings page that was printed out from the printer when that was setup, what ip address is designated to the printer?
On the pc that's connected via ethernet, can you put this ip address into your address bar on a browser and access the printers UI?
It set up fine, wireless on 2nd attempt, but it was next to router with laptop.
and, usb worked too. BUT as soon as moved both to lounge, wireless signal wasn,t picked up, and it wouldn,t connect via usb,(that,s what,s stumped me), the usb should work, even if wireless fails, it,s either/or.
ip address on current config ;;0.0.0.0
network name ssid;;;aolbb ;;;that,s my isp correct
hardware address;;e4:11:5b:86:7d:c7
CommunicationMode;infrastructure.
Config source;;Not Specified
Encryption;auto(AES or TKIP)
all above
wireless; pass.on. signal low.
conectivity; connected.pass;;;4.4.4 others
network;;;ssid;;found,other n/works..no. channel 1
settings;;;printer settings wes;;pass
no filtering;;pass
channel;1
security;;pass;
no problems found, congratulations on the successful set up of your wireless printer.
that,s the full report, or was, until I,ve just changed to usb only.all above says to me;;aok. but, alas not
baffling innit??0 -
Sorry for my mistake, by the way you were talking I thought you had a PC and a laptop:o
Looking at the set up you listed, your printer doesn't have an ip address, so that will be the reason why the pc 'cant find the printer'
On the display screen on the printer is the blue light for wireless still solid or is it blinking?
Baffling? Yes, but I can get it sorted if you want:)0 -

Hi,
Can anyone offer any advice on a wireless printer my hp psc 1350 is on its last legs (typical as just bought 2 new carts!) and I would really like a wireless one, I just use it for general - print the odd picture for school stuff and print pages out for the kids to colour etc and have used the scanner a bit more than I thought I would. I'm using an iMac - not sure if that makes any difference?
Obviously the cartridge cost is a big issue - appreciate any help.
Cheers0
