    It won't matter if its golden sugar in the scones, which are my favourite thing to make without eggs, except I could eat them all myself :o

    If you have plain unsweetened custard powder, you can use a teaspoon full mixed with a bit of water to replace the egg in some recipes - haven't needed to for years though, so not sure which ones. Probably not a victoria sponge, but a syrupy pud might be ok.
